Friday, January 8, 2010. Alright, let's get down to specifics. Here we are in January. I had a choice today of cleaning out all my storage area or getting some information out to you and some plans solidified for the family reunion. Getting information out sounded a lot more fun, so let's see what we can do. I have reserved a venue for us to meet on Friday night and Saturday. Our family belongs to a swim club in a little town called Hummesltown. Chicken evening with sides and drinks at the Hummelstown.

Adventures in suburban farming. How do bee’s “see” flowers? Bees get to see in the ultraviolet world. We can use photographic techniques to mimic that world, but all resulting colors are approximations of what a bee MIGHT see. (More photos by scientist-cameraman Bjorn Roslett can be found at his web site NaturFotograf.com. Click on Infrared in the left side menu. We can never see colors the way bees see them. Bees see primary colors as blue, green and ultraviolet. Ultraviolet being their third color.
