Hina, goddess of healing and first woman, and Kū, god of war and first man, represent the female and male qualities inherent in all people. Everyone has characteristics of Hina and some of Kū to varying degrees, and both femininity and masculinity, as dualistic elements, are integral to the concept of pono, or balance and harmony. To me, the goddess Hina is a prime example of mana wahine. Want you to watch.
