A Medley of Memories. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Look Who is Two! Thursday, June 4, 2015. The No Field, Field Day. Ella playing the game I was leading. Field Day was a bit of a disappointment for both kids this year. Sam's class was supposed to spend the day at the park next to their school. He unfortunately was only able to spend about an hour there because of a rainy day. He was very disappointed he was really looking forward to a day with his friends playing some basketball and kickball. Look Who is Two!

A Medley of Memories. Monday, August 24, 2015. Ella was excited for her first day. She was ready early and eager to get to school. We had to wait outside the door in the morning for it to open. When she got off the bus that afternoon I asked her if she had a good day. She said, "No mom, (pause) I had a great day! She is still loving it a week later but not getting up as enthusiastically as day one. New backpacks for the new school year. Can't believe he is in seventh grade! Ready for a great first day!

http://medleymemories.blogspot.com/2015/08/weeping-for-our-willow.html
A Medley of Memories. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Weeping for Our Willow. We were about to head for the park when the weather started to look bad. We decided to stay home and a few minutes later a storm blew through. The wind got really strong and Ella was watching it out our back window. She said, "Mom, the willow tree is gone! I wasn't sure what she meant by that as I walked toward the window. Our willow tree had snapped at the trunk from the strength of the wind. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Medley of Memories: Music Man
http://medleymemories.blogspot.com/2015/08/music-man.html
A Medley of Memories. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Sam spent the mornings for two weeks attending the Columbia Public Schools summer music program. The first two hours of the day he learned new pieces on his trombone. I loved this because it was really the first practice he had done all summer and was a great way to keep up with his instrument. All smiles after his concert. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Schedule Pick Up and Meet the Teacher. Last Days of Summer. No, Its Iowa.

http://medleymemories.blogspot.com/2015/08/baller.html
A Medley of Memories. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Sam spent a great deal of June in basketball camps. He started off with a week of camp at Rock Bridge High School for seventh through ninth graders. He complained the first day that it was too hard but he stuck with it and enjoyed it by the end of the week. His ball handling skills improved a lot in just that weeks time. A Medley of Memories: Watching Our Girls
http://medleymemories.blogspot.com/2015/08/watching-our-girls.html
A Medley of Memories. Sunday, August 2, 2015. Cheering on the US women! One thing that kept us busy this summer was watching the United States women compete in the World Cup. We loved their effort each game and were amazed by their skills. We would all yell at the television and urge them on to victory. Watching them win it all was amazing and encouraged our little soccer player to get outside and kick the ball even more. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. We had to slow that down once things got a little too busy but she has improved her swing and really enjoys being on the court. My friend Sarah and I have also been taking lessons. We play once a week. We are getting better and can actually keep up a rally now! It is great exercise and also a lot of fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Last Days of Summer.

http://medleymemories.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-day-in-lou.html
A Medley of Memories. Saturday, August 1, 2015. A Day in the Lou. I was needing to do a little outlet mall shopping and I had bought tickets to The Magic House on groupon so we decided to head to St. Louis for the day. The Magic House was our first stop. Sam is getting a little big for some of the things at The Magic House but there are still many things that he enjoyed (there are things there that I enjoy). Ella loved it all! Good afternoon, Mr. President. Singing The Star Spangled Banner on stage.
