RunDave's Blog: Great half, at a cost
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2007/05/great-half-at-cost.html
Monday, May 28, 2007. Great half, at a cost. So I've been gone for a while, sorry about that. Even more amazing is the time that Carly got. Last year she ran a half in 2:23. Yesterday she ran it in 1:51, a 32 minute improvement! She has really worked hard on her running and weight this year, and it has certainly paid off. Good to see you are still with us :-). Well done on the half, that's a pretty zippy time. And congrats to Carly too. Wow, that is amazing - over 1 minute per km faster! Supple - part 2.

RunDave's Blog: 2010 LEAFY SEA DRAGON RACE'N RAMBLE RACE REPORT
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2010/03/2010-leafy-sea-dragon-racen-ramble-race.html
Monday, March 22, 2010. 2010 LEAFY SEA DRAGON RACE'N RAMBLE RACE REPORT. This is the race report that I wrote for SARRC. A good result for me; first place in a time of 37:20. The 10km walk started with a healthy field of walkers setting off into the stiff ESE wind. I went to the late entry desk and entered then went off to get ready for the race making use of the convenient facilities. The finish line beckoned and we were done. Thankyou to all of you for putting on such an enjoyable event. 2010 LEAFY SEA...

RunDave's Blog: Trailblazer 2008 race report
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2008/10/trailblazer-2008-race-report.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. Trailblazer 2008 race report. Trailblazer report copied from Coolrunning post. The race started, and after a mad rush by a few teams, who by the look of their attire weren't going to be running for long, we settled into 5 min/km pace which we basically banged out consistently all the way to checkpoint 1, getting there in 1:35. I changed my shoes from road runners to trail runners there, then we set off up Amber's Gully. I only ended up having one recovery drink (read beer) strai...

RunDave's Blog: Longest run out of the way
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2007/06/longest-run-out-of-way.html
Monday, June 11, 2007. Longest run out of the way. Wow, I didn't realise you were doing Pichi Richi. Its the same day as the GC isn't it? Its one I've always wanted to do just so I could say Pichi Richi - it sounds so cool :-). Have a crack at the sub-3 Dave. Never know, you could 'do an Eagle'. I suppose you won't be pacing me in Adelaide this year then. Just think, if you do a sub-3, you'll be having your coffee by the time I finish! My bloglines must have missed your comeback dave! Word to be confirmed.

RunDave's Blog: Quagmire
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2007/05/quagmire.html
Monday, May 28, 2007. Quagmire KWAG-myr; KWOG- , noun:. 1 Soft, wet, miry land that shakes or yields under the feet. 2 A difficult or precarious position or situation; a predicament. Quagmire is from quag, a dialectical variant of quake (from Old English cwacian) mire, from Old Norse myrr, "a swamp.". It's a bit of an ugly word really. I don't like "kw" sounding words. Last Sunday I went for a short dark run on quagmire terrain! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Great half, at a cost. Supple - part 2.

RunDave's Blog: Trying to get this thing going again
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2010/03/trying-to-get-this-thing-going-again.html
Sunday, March 28, 2010. Trying to get this thing going again. Had a huge run last Sunday. Meant to go out for 1:30 and ended up out there for 2:30 and stumbling home in the darkness. Didn't get out for the rest of the week due to a) soreness from the long run, b) looking after chicken pox boy and c) soreness from stacking it on skateboard. Eventually got out today for a sharp run from the city to Flagstaff Hill after walking through the Earth ride today. A note on the earth ride. Word to be confirmed.

http://rundave.blogspot.com/2007/03/long-overdue-update.html
Monday, March 12, 2007. Sorry for the long overdue post. This is what I've been up to. Went out to sea for two weeks;. Came home and have been busy at work for two weeks;. Had our son's delayed birthday party;. Have been trying to cram as much running and cycling into the last two weeks, before heading out to sea for another two weeks tomorrow. Went to Womadelaide on Saturday which was great, but hot and dusty;. Highlights were Lior, Augie March, Deborah Conway (yes seriously, she was great! Great to hea...

RunDave's Blog: Sea to Summit
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2008/10/sea-to-summit.html
Tuesday, October 07, 2008. Ran from Somerton Park Beach to Mt Lofty Summit via Yurrebilla trail plus an extra 15 or so km out to the top gate at Horsnell's Gully CP and back to make up around 38 km. Getting the toes wet. Daws Road ahead, looking up to the summit. View of Adelaide from above Waite Institute. My favourite place to view the city. Top of Waite looking up to Summit. Did you know that there are deer in Waite CP? Looking down through Waterfall Gully. View from Mt Lofty Summit. It's a blog post!

RunDave's Blog: Long overdue update
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2008/05/long-overdue-update.html
Monday, May 05, 2008. I haven't been keeping this blog up to date for a while now, but I have still been running. I haven't really done anything of note lately. I went in a casual 10 km race in Auckland while at a conference over there coming in around 10th in 39:17, not bad for the lack of training and also a late night the night before (conference dinner). See you out there. You still exist - excellent! Great to see you are still running and still posting (if only rarely). Catch you around the traps.

RunDave's Blog: Big week
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2007/02/big-week.html
Sunday, February 04, 2007. Very busy and eventful week. Riding home from work on Monday I got a flat (after only riding the bike a few times since I've started riding again), so on Tuesday I went and purchased some of that hard tape to line the inside of the tyre. Hopefully no more niggly. On Tuesday I had a job interview which I think went pretty well. It just depends what sort of candidate they are looking for and how good the other applicants were I should find out tomorrow if I got it. Did I mention ...
