The morning was somewhat rushed, but we made it to the airport in plenty of time, thanks to a quickie breakfast of instant noodles and instant coffee, and the combined efforts of a taxi (gasp! And the limousine bus. Check-in was uneventful and so it was that we found ourselves with plenty of time to wander around the airport. A380 - a great way to fly. Day 1: A Day of Firsts.

Breakfast was a quickie, store-bought bagels albeit "high class" ones from one of the department store food halls. I was off to see the world famous, the one and only, Tsukiji Fish Market. HM who was not keen to throw herself in the path of the fish market's notorious whizzing carts or splosh through puddles of fishy water opted to stay out of the foray. A danger to life and limb.

Lemon, acheté dans une des multiples machines distributrices qui parsèment la ville. Pour 150 yen, y'avait pas meilleur. Je m'ennuyais vraiment de cette boisson citronnée, parfaite pour calmer ma soif - y'en a marre du Coke Diet. Ben j'en ai trouvé à Montréal, chez Épicerie Japonaise et coréenne.
