I don't always swim 1500 meters straight in the pool, but when I do, you can bet I'm going to time it! Today at lunch, I stared at the wide open empty lane in front of me, and said - "let's see what we got". The splits (it was a continuous swim, but I managed to split the stop watch every 500m):. The triathlon training blog of Phil Barnes. The 500m swim TT is a personal little fitness test I like to spring upon myself every once in a while. 500 meters is 20 lengths of a 25 meter pool. (Note that prior to 2006, most of the times were established at Champagne Bath pool in Ottawa which is a 25yd pool - 500m is approximately 22 lengths - of course there's a slight performance boost with the extra flip turns). Saturday, February 24, 2007. Check it out, I think I am back in love. Posted by croskery at 2:01 PM. Back on the bike. I jumped on the bike for a full 30mins! How exciting. At least it was something. I felt weak when I turned it up a bit, so I tried to just stay at an even pace. I kept the cadence high and that actually helped me as it kept the wattage down which meant I wasnt really busting a gut. Every hill climb I came up to, I made sure I didn't ruin my ryhthm. The triathlon training blog of Phil Barnes. Sea Lions Masters Mini Meet Results (2017 vs 2018). Not a big warm up, not too much time between events. Good competition in the heats to keep me motivated. Lost goggles on dive for 50 breast; paused for some reason on the dive for 100 free; 200 free felt good - probably went out too fast.
