1000피트 뷰를 이해하라 (Get the 1,000-Foot View) 본문. 1000피트 뷰를 이해하라 (Get the 1,000-Foot View). 아키텍트로서 우리가 알기 원하는 것은 ‘우리가 개발하고 있는 software가 얼마나 좋은가’이다. 소프트웨어는 사용자에게 유용해야 한다는 명백한 외부적 관점이 있지만 그보다 더 어려운 품질이라는 내부적 관점도 있다. 품질은 쉽게 소프트웨어를 이해하고, 유지보수하고 확장할 수 있는 설계의 명확도를 요구한다. 우리가 명확히 정의 내려야 할 압박이 올 시점에 보통 나 그거 보면 알아! 라고 말 할 수 있어야 한다. 하지만 어떻게 품질에 대해 볼 수 있겠는가? 이 1000피트 뷰는 적당한 수준의 정보를 제공할 것이다. 이는 많은 양의 데이터와 메소드갯수, 클래스 팬아웃, 순환복잡도와 같은 다중 metrics 를 모은다. 대부분의 경험에서 매우 단순한 관계로 성립된다. 좋아 보인다면 분명 잘 설계 되었을 것이다. 에 따라 이용하실 수 있습니다.

결정하기 전에 시도하라(Try Before Choosing) 본문. 결정하기 전에 시도하라(Try Before Choosing). 어플리케이션을 만드는 것에는 많은 결정을 필요로 한다. 몇몇은 프레임워크나 라이브러리를 선택하여 포함할 것이고 또 다른 이들은 특정 디자인 패턴 사용에 집중할 것 이다. 모든 경우에 결정의 책임은 팀의 아키텍트에게 있다. 진부한 아키텍트는 수집할 수 있는 모든 정보를 수집한 후 잠시 숙고하여 마침내 상아탑에서 개발자들로부터 적용될 솔루션을 발표할 것이다. 놀랄 것도 없이 여기에 더 좋은 방법이 있다. 아키텍트는 곧 이뤄야 할 결정을 지속적으로 감시해야 한다. 주어진 팀이 소수의 개발자보다 많고 축적된 코드 소유권을 수행한다면 그와 같은 결정지점이 다가올 때 아키텍트는 다양한 개발자에게 문제의 해결점 제시를 물어보고 잠시 이를 수행할 수 있다. 마지막 결정의 순간이 다가올 때 팀은 이점에 대해 평가하고 다른 솔루션의 약점에 대해 알게 된다. 에 따라 이용하실 수 있습니다.

블로그를 시작하며. 본문. 사실 블로그를 시작하는 것이 처음은 아니다. 아주 이전부터 엠파스, 네이버, 테터툴즈 블로그등 이런 저런 블로그를 만들었다. 초반에는 앞서가는 다른 사람들의 글을 스크랩하기 용도였다. 다른사람들에게 내 생각 내 배움을 나누기에 부족하다고 생각했고. 내가 속한 곳에서 최선을 다하다 보면 나눔에 사용할 시간또한 없었다. 그때와 지금이 얼마나 달라졌을까. 사실 그렇게 달라진 것은 없다. 달라진 것이 있다면 내가 되고자 하는 온전한 나의 모습을 위해서는. 나눔의 연습이 나에게 꼭 필요한 부분임을 느낀 것이다. 나눔을 통해 나와 같은 고민을 하고있는 누군가에게 도움을 줄 수 있다. 나 스스로 알 수 있는 것은 한정적이기에 나눔을 통해 발전될 수 있다. 나눔은 관심 분야의 사람들과 네트워킹을 이루게 된다. 이 공간은 내가 받은 교육과 공부내용을 정리하여 내것으로 만드는 공간. 나눔으로 다른사람에게 도움이 되는 공간. 타인의 의견을 내 생각으로 정리하는 공간으로 만들길 꿈꾼다.

(There Is No I in Architecture). 나는 분명 Architecture에 ‘i’가 있다라는 것은 알고 있다. 하지만 이것은 그 자신에만 집중하는 것으로 불리는 대문자 ‘I’, 가 아니다. 소문자가 단어 안에서 깔끔하게 딱 맞는다. 오직 소문자 만이 되는 이유는 적절한 단어와 소리의 요구사항을 충족시키기 때문이다. 이 말이 소프트웨어 아키텍트인 우리에게 어떤 연관성이 있을까? 우리의 자아는 우리 자신의 최악의 적일 수도 있다는 것이다. 다음과 같은 사람은 아키텍트를 경험하지 못해왔다. 그들이 고객보다 요구사항을 더 잘 이애 한다고 생각하는 사람. 개발자를 그들의 아이디어를 구현하기 위해 고용한 자원으로 보는 사람. 그들의 아이디어가 도전 받거나 다른 이의 아이디어에 무시당할 때 방어적인 사람. 왜 이런 일이 일어나는 것일까?
