Wips: lassie and GD stash addition. The Lass socks are still happening. I thiiink I might not be much of a lace person right now, as I'm a little too nonchalant to make sure the pattern's made as intended. It's just too comforting a think to know that the sock will still be perfectly wearable, even if a yarn-over is off by a couple stitches, or some diamonds don't line up perfectly. GD's been growing quite a bit! Pattern by Evan Plevinski. This pattern's been sitting in my queue for months now and am...

blog.bapsicrafts: feature: simple seed stitch coasters projects

http://blog.bapsicrafts.com/2015/01/feature-simple-seed-stitch-coasters.html

Feature: simple seed stitch coasters projects. It's been a real pleasure to see what people can do with my little Seed Stitch Coaster pattern! It's about as simple as a knitting pattern can possibly get, but the excitement is enough to hopefully offset any anxiety about publishing more complex ones in the future. Here are some projects recently finished using my Simple Seed Stitch Coaster design. This photo belongs to Freshwind. Freshwind's idea for making a coaster for both her mug and. I'm Britney, a&#...

blog.bapsicrafts: December 2013

http://blog.bapsicrafts.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

These past two months were a real workout for the mind and body. I dove straight into selling at craft shows and collected a lot of knowledge and great experience from those days. My personal mantra this time around was to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’, and only great things have come from playing the part of a braver version of me whenever I had to encounter something scary and new. See you guys in 2014! Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Wednesday, December 04, 2013. Fo: her hunter socks. Size : 9.5. The s...

Strong letter to follow. Dear Regia Hand-Dye Effect. You’ve been bad, very bad. In fact, you’ve been absolutely naughty. And what the heck is up with your fibers? That black thread deal is 10000% not fun to knit with and completely inflexible. Your silky soft “halo” (you’re not fooling me with that halo crap) twists up and sticks to itself whenever convenient. Complete layers of you peel right off the skein and turn into birds nests. We can forget. And doesn’t deserve your mess. PS Don’t let me cat...

Wip: The Great Devourer. Last week, I was browsing scrap yarn blanket patterns after looking at the overfull yarn basket in my room (as you do), and found just the thing I wanted to try out for myself— Joan L. Hamer’s Mindless Knitting, TV Watching, Scrap-User Upper Afghan. This project has been really difficult to put down, so at one point I’ve had to lock it in a different room so I can get other projects finished on time. But we are quickly becoming very good friends though! Any plans for one soon?

blog.bapsicrafts: fo: bapsi's first pullover

http://blog.bapsicrafts.com/2015/01/fo-bapsis-first-pullover.html

Fo: bapsi's first pullover. This has been such an indecisive project for me toward the end. Picking the pattern and yarn was a breeze. getting the knitting done? That hardly took a month to (mostly-will explain later) complete. But photographing it? Declaring it truly done? That’s been a completely different story. Pattern : Ladies Classic Raglan Pullover. Yarn : Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool in Nature’s Brown. Needle : US 7, 8 [4.5 mm, 5.0 mm]. The reason for that is tiny, but a nagging one—. There are so...

Needles and Wool: About Me

http://needlesandwool.blogspot.com/p/test.html

I knitted a lot of scarves. Then challenged myself to knit hats. Then mittens, ,. Then I moved on to socks. I hope to knit more socks and mittens for practice. I am still making little mistakes here and there, but that's part of learning! I also hope to move on to knitting sweaters and clothing one day. I would love to make my own patterns too. I want to sell my work on Etsy and at craft fairs one day. I am excited for the future in this craft. Thank you so much for visiting! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Needles and Wool: Knitting Socks for Mother's Day

http://needlesandwool.blogspot.com/2015/04/knitting-socks-for-mothers-day.html

Sunday, April 19, 2015. Knitting Socks for Mother's Day. Yesterday was my first day off since I finished exams at school and completing my first year at University. I am so happy to be done for the summer break. Now I just have one more year to go and I am done! The socks are going to be a gift for my mom for Mother’s Day, so I hope I can get them done by then. I am using the VeryPink Knits video. The inside of the sock, look at the turning of the heel. The back of the sock and turning of the heel. I am ...
