Friends and acquaintances knew Billington was a gifted photographer and word-of-mouth quickly spread that her photos were different - special. Using natural light and focusing on faces and close-ups, Billington’s photos of babies and children were unique and beautiful. What began out of necessity because of her cramped workspace developed into a photography style that captured the exquisite details and true essence of her tiny subjects. Real Photographers. Real Pictures. Real Life.

How long is the photo shoot? The photo shoot normally lasts ten to fifteen minutes. When will my photo shoot take place? We typically photograph all babies on their first full day at the hospital. It is also possible for your shoot to take place on the day before discharge. Generally, we do not take photos on the day of discharge unless there is a medical reason for the delay. My husband won't return to the hospital until late in the day. Can the session be done then? Should we bring a special blanket?

Stale Reflections on Life's Most Enticing Curiosities. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Wednesday: If I Had A Million Dollars. Tonight's mythical million goes to cancer research. Although the cause may not be considered "original", it is worthy and deeply compelling. However, on the frontiers of science, new treatments are ever-emerging. Who Ordered Toast?: July 2010
http://who-ordered-toast.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Stale Reflections on Life's Most Enticing Curiosities. Friday, July 30, 2010. I have recently begun to sell some of my paintings. I will post pictures on this site. If you are interested in a piece, please email or comment on the post. My dabblings at painting began as a grad school project, so I never imagined or intended that other people would find the outworkings of a happenstance hobby to be interesting. let alone decorative! A Memo to My Perfectionism. I prefer my imperfection to your intolerance.

Who Ordered Toast?: June 2010
http://who-ordered-toast.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Stale Reflections on Life's Most Enticing Curiosities. Monday, June 28, 2010. Tonight, I return to the topic of attachment. While this post still fails to follow the previous attachment-related entry with the promised research tidbits, it is saturated in human relatedness all the same. An advisory: this is one of those "1/3 shared experience" posts on the topic. Portions the sands - the hours dissolving away grain by grain, with no way to lend our days to another. It is a painful reoccurrence. On our jou...

Who Ordered Toast?: A New One
http://who-ordered-toast.blogspot.com/2011/06/new-one.html
Stale Reflections on Life's Most Enticing Curiosities. Sunday, June 5, 2011. At long last, I was finally the exhausted and humble recipient of a two-day summit to reconvene with my inmost thoughts, my paintbrushes, and my Creator. A phenomenon otherwise known as "a weekend at home without plans", my reflective enclave in time was as restorative as it was uneventful. I want to carry extravagant love to the ends of the earth, like living water in a common jar of clay. June 6, 2011 at 1:04 AM. World Health ...
