World Cruise 2010

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Tuesday, 31 August 2010. My apologies for the lack of updates - I'm running rather low on internet minutes and I'd rather not spend any more money on them (at 25c / min it gets rather expensive) - we're only three days away from home at the moment - so I'll look at doing some updates when I get there. Back home soon, and we all can't wait - with 100 days on a ship I'm read for some dry land for a few years! Posted by Brett Handy @ 6:09 AM.

World Cruise 2010: August 2008

http://blog.bretthandy.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Thursday, 28 August 2008. At Sea (28th of August). Well the temperature has really gone up. yesterday morning when I did my walk around the deck it was 10C today. 27C! It's amazing how much difference one day at sea makes. We're still running behind after the Russians delayed us at Petropavlosk so we're staying a bit later in Osaka than we'd planned. Looks like our delay made the papers in Sydney! World Cruise 2010: 11/8/2010 - Los Angeles, California, USA - Scenes of Los Angeles Tour

http://blog.bretthandy.com/2010/08/1182010-los-angeles-california-usa.html

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Saturday, 14 August 2010. 11/8/2010 - Los Angeles, California, USA - Scenes of Los Angeles Tour. The weather at the port of LA looked rather threatening this morning, and it was reasonably cool out on deck. After another face to face customs inspection, with lines running from one end of the ship to the other (no joke, it was ridiculous! We eventually got off the ship! The Hollywood Bowl is well worth visiting, it's quite an amazing place ...

World Cruise 2010: 31/7/2010 - Power Failure!!

http://blog.bretthandy.com/2010/08/3172010-power-failure.html

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Sunday, 1 August 2010. 31/7/2010 - Power Failure! Well, guess what? The ship's broken again! Total power failure this morning around 8:30am! Power got restored again briefly, but then it went out again completely until around 12:30pm! We've got power back in the cabins/etc - the AC still isn't running properly and of course the engines aren't doing much either! Posted by Brett Handy @ 3:31 am. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom.

World Cruise 2010: April 2010

http://blog.bretthandy.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Friday, 2 April 2010. Well the paperwork is all done, visas organised and everythings paid for / booked. Interesting that the only country out of the more than a dozen that I'm visiting that requires a visa is India. Ahh well. Now all that's left is the waiting, flu shots and packing! 49 days to go. Oh - I'm testing out a new program for posting on my blog and facebook - any suggestions on formatting/etc would be welcomed.

World Cruise 2010: 8/8/2010 - Manzanillo, Mexico

http://blog.bretthandy.com/2010/08/882010-manzanillo-mexico.html

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Saturday, 14 August 2010. 8/8/2010 - Manzanillo, Mexico. Well no tour today - Marylyn and Dave went exploring, finding a place that was exactly what they thought a Mexican town should be. Sombreros everywhere! One other bright piece of news - we got out Canadian Captain back again! He left us in Dubai, but he arrived back today! Captain Tood McBain is a hell of a lot better than that Italian bloke we had - he's friendly and informative!

time travel in the age of the ironic lunch

I Still Have A Blog? Instagram, Foursquare, and Twitter may have killed my blog game, but I think I’m going to do this again. Currently I’m sitting in the Oneworld Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, enjoying some free curry chicken dumplings (empanadas? And shrimp cakes, recharging my perpetually dead iPhone off of my Macbook, and trying to roughly plan out what I’ll be doing with myself for the next 20 days. Currently I am thinking that I will use these three weeks to take advantage of the low c...

Hi, I'm Brett Jackson. I'm a software engineer(ing student) with an interest in markets and financial technology living in Chicago. Running a .NET Application on Docker. I needed to grab the source code from a private repo on Bitbucket, compile and run a .NET application in a Docker container, and the process was rather straightforward. I’m including my Dockerfile, and I’ll explain it below. You’ll need to create a deployment key on Bitbucket, then place it in your source directory. My first order of bus...

The June edition of Digital Photo has a nice tutorial on classic lighting setups. Without a doubt the hardest part of learning photography is lighting. Not light, but. What’s the difference, you ask? How do I know? Unfortunately, feeling forlorn about lighting doesn’t mean the students are excused from learning how to do it. However, this article at Digital Photo this m...Black-a...
