Dave's Wave: Where did it go?
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/where-did-it-go.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Monday, January 14, 2008. Where did it go? My daughter came back in this morning about 30 seconds after she had left. She's part of the Student Leadership team and this is Spirit Week at her High School. She had this bewildered look on her face, and she says, "Did you move my car somewhere? So after dropping her off and calling the Police Department, we're hoping the car turns up. The officer said that they recover 86% of all stolen cars in our city! To sub...

Dave's Wave: It once was lost, but now is found!
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/it-once-was-lost-but-now-is-found.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Thursday, January 24, 2008. It once was lost, but now is found! Last night around midnight we received a call from the Turlock Police that they had recovered Hannah's stolen car. Yessss! They actually caught the guys driving it, and one of them got away. The other guy was arrested and was in the back of the patrol car the whole time we were there (which we didn't know until the end). That was a little freaky. Turlock, California, United States. How do YOU d...

Dave's Wave: Sunday Night Reflection
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/sunday-night-reflection_27.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Sunday, January 27, 2008. I woke up this morning with a raging sore throat. It didn't seem to affect my voice or my speaking, but it sure was sore and really hard to swallow. But it was a great day anyway. Here are some random thoughts from the day. NLCC'ers YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD! 8226; Here's some more NLCC / World Vision news. Our Student Ministries has raised nearly $70,000 for famine relief through World Vision's 30 hour famine o...

Dave's Wave: The Power of Faith
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/power-of-faith.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Monday, January 28, 2008. The Power of Faith. I received the newest edition of Newsweek magazine today, and read an interesting article titled, "A Simple Twist of Faith.". The author, Theresa Gonzalez, writes about her younger sister's growing Christian faith. I read this article and honestly, agreed with some of her concerns. I too have met Christians that made me nervous. I've seen Christians lash out with words and actions that are intolerant and...It's ...

http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/new-coffee-experience.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Tuesday, January 22, 2008. The new coffee experience. This is for the coffee drinker that doesn't have time to stop and grab a cup. All the kick you need, without the hassle of actually bringing a cup to your lips. The sad thing, is that I know a few people who'd probably go for this! Turlock, California, United States. I have the greatest wife ever, and I'm blessed with four terrific kids that have great hearts! View my complete profile. Stuff to see….

Dave's Wave: My Mac Week
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/my-mac-week.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Sunday, January 20, 2008. This last week was my annual trek to the big "mac-fest" called Macworld. It's held in S.F. and I've gone for over 10 years to this thing. I know, I know, it sounds a little crazy and extreme, but it's a lot of fun. Turlock, California, United States. I have the greatest wife ever, and I'm blessed with four terrific kids that have great hearts! View my complete profile. Get the New Life Connection Email! Larry Hubatka: Black Glasses.

Dave's Wave: Blind
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/blind.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Wednesday, January 23, 2008. I watched the new season of American Idol tonight. I think the first few weeks of the show are my favorite. I love watching the auditions and seeing how crazy people are. There were a couple of people on tonight and they were telling Ryan Seacrest how great they were, and how they were the next American Idol, and how lucky the show was to have the opportunity to promote them. And then they sang. Turlock, California, United States.

Dave's Wave: Sunday Night Reflection
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/sunday-night-reflection_20.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Sunday, January 20, 2008. Here are some thoughts from the day. 8226; I LOVE BAPTISMS! We got to hear some incredible stories of God's grace and forgiveness today. He is transforming and revolutionizing lives right now, and He's doing it among us. There were 13 people baptized today, and it was so awesome to hear our people cheer and celebrate. 8226; I realized today that it's too hard to try and pull off the baptism AND doing a short message. Next time,...

Dave's Wave: Let Freedom Ring!
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/01/let-freedom-ring.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Monday, January 21, 2008. Today is Martin Luther King Jr. day. Like many holidays, we tend to just think of a day off rather than remember the reason. This morning I read through the complete text of MLK's "I have a dream" speech from August 28, 1963. He gave this speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to a crowd of over 200,000 people who had come to Washington to march for Civil Rights. It was a defining moment in the movement. Stuff to see…. New Lif...

Dave's Wave: A little bit of this and that…
http://davelarson.blogspot.com/2008/02/little-of-this-and-that.html
Thoughts about life, ministry, and other stuff. Thursday, February 07, 2008. A little bit of this and that…. Our church hosted the Turlock Gospel Mission meal tonight. The Dray's hosted, and the Padilla's served an AWESOME meal. There was BBQ chicken and all the fixin's (I don't think you're allowed to add the "ing" to that word when it's connected to BBQ foods). I couldn't believe it (BTW, who's George Strait? Oh, before I forget, it's my Mom's birthday today. Happy Birthday Mom! View my complete profile.
