https://blog.coryfoy.com/2007/10/tdd-of-a-winform-app-part-2-presenting-the-account-data
Innovative agile delivery with a chewy craftsmanship center. TDD of a WinForm app – Part 2 – Presenting the Account Data. October 31, 2007. UI, meet Business Layer. The sketch for the UI is basically a text field with a button next to it to search and a grid underneath the buttons and textbox to show the results. When the app first starts, the grid should show the list of every customer, sorted by name. To build a TDDable UI, I typically use a slightly modified form of Fowler’s Presentation Model. So let...

Cassoulet – the traditional french way (but not in the way you think). May 13, 2015. OK that’s a misleading title. So, I’ve got two bags (with two duck leg quarters each) of inedibly salty confit, which I didn’t want to go to waste (duck fat doesn’t grow on trees you know), so I figured I’d use them up in a cassoulet just like in the southwest of France would use up the duck they had (confit so it wouldn’t spoil then canned cassoulet). May 11, 2015. Expect a post specifically about them in the future, bu...

2014 Retrospective and The Future. December 31st, 2014. 2014 is over already? When recognizing the perceived shortening of years and the ticking away of his numbered days, a wise man would try his best to make every moment of his life count. But this isn’t the first time I’ve recognized this problem, and if 2014 was any indication, I’m no wise man. Will I wisen up in 2015 and make it count? How am I going to do that? What did I actually do in 2014? Did the world actually end in the year 2000? Which was l...
