A Blog for Natural Mamas. December 1, 2008 in Recipes. This recipe comes from my mom, who got it from her childhood friend’s mother. I believe it is supposed to taste like the cornbread at Marie Callendar’s restaurant, but my husband insists that it is much better. 3 eggs, beaten. 1/2 c melted butter. 2 c Bisquick (I’ve even been known to use homemade wheat pancake mix). 1/2 c yellow cornmeal. 1/2 t baking powder. His mother was visiting and staying with us for the week. I suspected something, peed on a stick, saw two lines, and ran outside to whisper to Ryan that I was pregnant! It was too hard to keep it a secret with family around, so we invited everyone over for desset and shared our news right away. Becoming a Mama store. Comments feed for this article.
