The true story of a young woman in search of a few good words. Thursday, February 23, 2012. No, it was more like sick pleasure: just enough to ease the disturbance he had felt at realizing who he had become since that dark day months ago. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Washington, United States. A daughter of the living God, I try to live my life in a way that pleases Him. I love Jesus Christ and I love people. If a day contains music, words, people, creativity, coffee and laughter, it is a good day!

girl meets words: December 2011
http://girlmeetswords.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
The true story of a young woman in search of a few good words. Thursday, December 15, 2011. Finals and Roommates and Christmas, oh my! Yes, this tired senioritis-suffering scholar just used the Wizard of Oz reference. I can't decide if it's quaint or overdone, but right now I don't care. Beth is going to be my roommate next semester, and (as I'm sure you can see) she brings abundant amounts of joy and color to my life. I'm excited for this next season! If I don't see you before,. This Side of Sanity: Going greener series: Carpet cleaning
http://this-sideofsanity.blogspot.com/2011/09/going-greener-series-carpet-cleaning.html
Sunday, September 25, 2011. Going greener series: Carpet cleaning. As a family, we made the decision to go greener in our everyday lives. In my "going greener" series, I will share some of the ideas we have put into practice, and hopefully inspire someone out there to follow suit. The first topic I want to discuss is near and dear to my heart: clean carpets. There is nothing that makes me crazy faster than a dirty floor (and with two kids and a dog, that is a big task! Instead of using chemical-laden det...

This Side of Sanity: Going greener series: Henna
http://this-sideofsanity.blogspot.com/2011/10/going-greener-series-henna.html
Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Going greener series: Henna. Early this year, I decided to do something I've always wanted: dye my hair red. I loved the results, but my hair didn't. Chemical dyes make my head itch during the process, smell awful, and then I end up with dry, damaged hair. To add insult to injury, my hair just didn't hold on to the red color long enough to justify such crazy processing. A wonderful website with a comprehensive guide to all things henna. Sort of like a big brick of chocolate.

The true story of a young woman in search of a few good words. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. I am in the process of writing the draft of a novel right now, and it's a complicated and scary process. However, I am also in a fiction writing class this semester that involves submitting what you are working on to the rest of the class for workshop sessions where you receive critiques and all kinds of helpful suggestions for what's working and what you could be doing better. girl meets words: 55-Word Story
http://girlmeetswords.blogspot.com/2011/11/55-word-story.html
The true story of a young woman in search of a few good words. Wednesday, November 2, 2011. This week in my fiction writing class we received the challenge to write a short story in no more than 55 words. In order to be considered a "story," we determined that it should have a setting, character(s), a conflict, and a resolution. Oh, and just for fun, we had to incorporate 2 out of the following 3 nouns: volcano, train station, or backflip. So, here's mine. Feel inspired? You should write one, too! Magent...
