The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation is a registered charity, working to provide financial support to good causes across the Highlands and Moray. The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation was established in 1981 by brothers Gordon and Ian Baxter together with their wives, Ena and Margaret. The origins of the family business, W A Baxter and Sons Ltd, stretch back to 1868 when Gordon and Ian’s grandfather, George, opened a grocery shop in the village of Fochabers, Moray. Ena trained in portraiture at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, before moving to Moray to teach and practice art. Her collected works are renowned for their careful brushwork, vivid colour, and intricate attention to detail.
