http://iheartletters.blogspot.com/2011/08/going-back-to-school.html
Sunday, August 21, 2011. Going Back to School. I'll absolutely will still be writing letters but on a much slower pace that what I've previously been doing (it was pretty much you send me a letter and the next day I had a reply in the mail). At first I was disappointed that I may not be able to keep up with my current pace but then again.the lengthy time will make for more interesting and longer letters. See, everyone wins! If anyone wants it I'll send one via snail mail to you. Just contact me at elfscuz @ yahoo.com with your name and address. Sammie over at Box 332. Postcard to Ilona the Missive Maven. http://analog-dog.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Walnuts are not just for eating. They're for inking, too! Some goodies came in today from a good friend who shopped online with me. (yay! There's a couple of inks,. And a few nibs to try out and play with. I'm usually more excited about nibs, but today, i was most curious about the walnut ink. probably because it's my first time to try ink that wasn't liquid yet. it's in crystal form that should be dissolved in water. i guess the 'play' factor there is the plus. I liked the w...

Analog Dog: Inks
http://analog-dog.blogspot.com/p/inks.html

They may seem like an afterthought to the pen but it is I am slowly realizing that they can form an obsession of itself. These are the ones in my drawers, thus far. Will put up links as I write up my thoughts on them. These come in 30 colors the 1670 Limited Edition, makes 31 colors. The J. Herbin website is here. In Which Ch...

Saturday, April 9, 2011. Understated performer: the Lamy 2000. I can also entitle this blog entry as : Sometimes, A Girl Gets Lucky. Because an acquaintance and fellow photographer, Rolly Magpayo, saw the post and he thought it might be a good idea to ask me if i wanted to buy his hardly-used Lamy 2000, for almost a third of its market price. .and it's a price that would not normally be in my range. The minimalist, modern classic Lamy 2000 with the pen capped. And released in 1966, it remains in producti...

Art of the Letter. Monday, March 30, 2015. Don't apologize. Don't show weakness. The minute you do that, they'll be on you like leeches, waiting to such you dry and deposit the husk on the stoop. They can smell you a mile away, see you trembling through the back of their heads. keep strong, boy, and you might just make it out alive.". Was things always this way? The old man shook his head slowly, sadly. "Nah, they weren't. But that's before living memory, cept for maybe Mama Tracy.". A quiet creak, and f...
