You know those commercials where a woman is dressed in really comfortable clothes, like pajamas, but still looks impossibly pretty settles down into some really comfortable couch or chair that is not covered in cat hair? The one where she has something like a cup of coffee, or a thing of yogurt, or a chocolate bar? You know that commercial? You know that moment? It was Chocolate Mint Truffle Hot Cocoa. Ahhh. Rather be a kitty. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. I've always been a singer. I haven't always been a particularly good singer. I can carry a tune, occasionally sound pretty, but as it goes I'm pretty common. Regardless, I love to sing and I love songs. That's what postpartum depression has done to me. It's created a permanent wall of silence. As a new mother I knew I should be constantly talking to my newborn, getting those language skills started, engaging her with the world - bonding.
