Ward Road Garden: Ripen Peppers Indoors
http://wardroadgarden.blogspot.com/2008/10/ripen-peppers-indoors.html
Trying to live a more sustainable life. Thursday, October 09, 2008. Labels: 100 Foot Diet -Victory Garden. How did your 'peppers' ripen (they're called capsicums in Australia)? Did they rot, get eaten or were they a sucess? The peppers ripened wonderfully. This really works. I had to keep checking them every couple of days to make sure none were too ripe. It also worked great for my greenish tomatoes as well. Dont you love me. You can find my pics here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

And may I have some garden leftovers if you don't have any other use for them? I'll trade you for some bread for your zinfandel jelly. You planted very beautiful flowers. Ward Road Garden: 1st Home Grown Apple Harvest
http://wardroadgarden.blogspot.com/2008/10/1st-home-grown-apple-harvest.html
Trying to live a more sustainable life. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. 1st Home Grown Apple Harvest. This is our first year for home grown apples. The bare root trees that we planted 2 years ago produced enough apples for 7 pints of apple butter. I know we are going to savor every last bite. How exciting also, to know that we will probably get twice as many next year. Mmmmm maybe enough for apple pie too. Labels: 100 Foot Diet -Victory Garden. Looks like you guys had an excellent harvest this year!

Ward Road Garden: April 2008
http://wardroadgarden.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Trying to live a more sustainable life. Friday, April 18, 2008. Last September I decided to take up Roller Derby. I don’t remember why exactly, I was mainly just looking for a way to get some good exercise in the gardening off season. I cannot express in words exactly how terrible I was at skating. Let’s just say that in the beginning there was much more down time than up time. Although it was very difficult (and still is) I have persevered. The cover photo is Susie Roundwheels. She is amazing! In Mother...
