Rather than spend thousands on a wedding, Kendra and Steve would like to use that money to help some of the neediest in the developing world. In March 2012 we used the money raised from family and friends through our wedding events to travel with GIVE International to work on several development projects in Uganda. Tuesday, April 3, 2012. 38 hours on the road.seriously! Our trip home started at about 9:30am on Friday and ended at 11:30pm (Uganda time) on Saturday night. The original plan had been to leave at 7am and go straight to the airport; however, our flight out of Entebbe was not scheduled to depart until almost midnight, which would have meant about 8 hours sitting in the airport waiting for our flight to board.
