Earlier this year we moved a couple miles from Redondo Beach to Manhattan Beach, bigger house, better school district. As far as the house and area is concerned, it is definitely an upgrade, but not so for the utilities. Water quality is worse, specifically hardness, MB supplies. Its own water, RB gets water from LADWP. But, I really digress, I want to discuss electrical power quality problems.

Announced the Nest Protect. Combination smoke and CO alarm, finally usability and technology catching up with smoke alarms, and an attractive looking unit. I’ve been a long time fan and user of the Nest thermostats. Nest support exchanged the unit and sent out a replacement. Offering refunds, disabling the wave feature.
