Metaprogramming in Ruby should be avoided if possible. Jun 6, 2015. This isn’t the first time someone has considered metaprogramming in ruby to be harmful. However, in the real world, proper use of metaprogramming is infrequent. I would even venture to say that, if you are considering doing something with metaprogramming in Ruby, stop and try to solve it without metaprogramming. Nov 30, 2014. One’s complement (unary NOT). You can use these bitwise operators for the following data types. Bitwise operators cannot work on. From Java: A Beginner’s Guide. Example 1: Getting upper case for a letter. The value 65,503 used in the AND statement is the decimal representation of 1111 1111 1101 1111. Setting up Bower on Rails 4 for Heroku. Jun 29, 2015. We know Bower is great for managing frontend packages such as jQuery and Bootstrap. I noticed that it’s not obvious how I can use Bower with Rails and Heroku. Here is how I set up Bower to work with Rails 4 app running on Heroku. My local system setup looks like this. OS X Yosemite V 10.10.3. Ruby 2.2.1p85 (2015-02-26 revision 49769) [x86 64-darwin14]. Rails 4.2.3. Bower 1.4.1. Node v0.10.38. I’m gonna assume that you have some basics down already.
