Friday, April 15, 2011. Today has been a bad day. So we set up another appointment, which was today. Guy came out took some measurements, called the boss, he came out, and guess what? I went and checked another one and it was rotten too! Http:/ www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/photolibrary. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Nice day and yard work! It is a wavy pattern in the vertical with a bobble in the appropriate place! Had a really nice day today. It was cool with a little breeze but perfect for digging in the ...

Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Pics of summer top. This is the finished top I was experimenting on. Considering I changed things up it came out pretty well! The main part was knit circular so there are no side seams. This is the bottom edging done in a picot, cabled rib. I really like it! Http:/ www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/photolibrary. Monday, January 24, 2011. Jan 24, 2011. Well my idea of knitting two strands of 2/20 yarn to make shorts isn't going to work. The material is too thick and stiff. I also think they would be too hot for our summers, and a little too tight for me. I'll have to make them in 4 pieces and 1 strand after all! Oh well chalk it up to a 'learning' experience! Sunday, January 23, 2011. The recipe came with the smoker. It had 5 cheeses in it yum yum! Friday, January 21, 2011. Another nice day here! Jan 20, 2011.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Nice day and yard work! Let's see, haven't posted in several days. Saturday had a get together with K at my house this time. She was the teacher and she brought over a knit pattern for us to work on together. It's called the Fertility Blanket but we are doing a scarf. It's called fertility because it looks like female genitals. LOL And it really does! It is a wavy pattern in the vertical with a bobble in the appropriate place! Oh yeah, tried the food color dyeing in the microwave!
LeAnn's Blog: A night of observing!
http://leannsblogspot.blogspot.com/2011/04/night-of-observing.html
Tuesday, April 5, 2011. A night of observing! Got my telescope out last night! The last few days I've been working in the yard getting it cleaned up and compost put down then last night observing I think I've overdone it! It was kinda nice that today was cloudy and rainy as I couldn't go outside and work in the yard! After cleaning house today I was just too pooped out to do anything else so I just laid down on the couch and listened to the wind and just relaxed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Ramblings about life, the universe, and knitting! My journey through Doctor Who. Today I have reached a milestone on a journey that has taken me nearly a year. It began at Chicago TARDIS last year, when I picked up my copy of the book Outside In: 160 New Perspectives on 160 Classic Doctor Who Stories by 160 Writers. I spent the weekend adding lots of autographs to it – I know several of those 160 writers! Reading the different perspectives in Outside In added an additional layer to the journey. It wa...

Knittage and me
Sometime knitter, frequent crafter, always Helen. Christmas was a hoot! Between all the travelling back to the UK to see the kids, and having the whole very first Christmas craft fair experience, we were all set for a quiet and gentle time. And for once, that’s exactly what we got! I made a fake Christmas tree, using the library’s laser cutter. Some plywood, cheap baubles, and some lights! So Aaron and Dylan retaliated by buying a bloody enormous real Christmas tree! So very, very cold! And so did we!

Intellectual activity should be guided by the supreme art of life, that of doing good to other people rather than being great oneself; and the source of this art must be looked for in those feelings and impulses which give elevation to a manâ s character, make him wise and good, and kindle in him a love for everything that is fine and true.
