Lazy Hacker Babble: February 2015
https://blog.lazyhacker.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Just some random babblings from a lazy hacker…. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Compiling Synergy on OSX 10.9 Maverick (and 10.10 Yosemite). Since this is open source anyone can just download the source and build it themselves, right? To allow him to build Synergy for Yosimite, but his solution is actually also needed to get it to build on 10.9 Maverick. Xcode-select - install brew install cmake brew install qt. Next you'll need to download the source from http:/ github.com/synergy/synergy. To build 1.4...

Just some random babblings from a lazy hacker…. Thursday, March 19, 2015. Automatically Start Local Minecraft Server on Linux (Fedora) At Boot. Running your own Minecraft. Server on Linux is pretty simple. You simply download the jar file from Minecraft.net. And run it from the command line. However, if you run it straight from the command line you'll need to stay logged in and not kill the terminal otherwise it will stop the Minecraft server. The way to work around it is to use something like tmux.
Lazy Hacker Babble: December 2014
https://blog.lazyhacker.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Just some random babblings from a lazy hacker…. Thursday, December 18, 2014. Building Protobuf on OSX. I wanted to play with protocol buffers. On my local OSX machine but set up isn't so straight forward so I thought that I'd document the steps. Step 1: Get the build tools. If you have all the build tools installed then skip ahead, but on the particular machine that I was using it didn't. So I had to do the following:. Install Xcode command line tools. Tar -xzf autoconf-latest.tar.gz. To get the packages.
Lazy Hacker Babble: October 2012
https://blog.lazyhacker.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Just some random babblings from a lazy hacker…. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Even before we moved into our house, I had been planning an area to be my workshop. I wanted a place that was organized, comfortable and had the space for me to work on projects big and small. Everything is against one wall or on wheels so they can be moved against the wall to help conserve space. I'm looking forward to being able to build some stuff here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lazy Hacker Babble: September 2012
https://blog.lazyhacker.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Just some random babblings from a lazy hacker…. Sunday, September 30, 2012. Mitre Station in the Workshop. There is an opening in the back for the hose, power cord and air to flow through. The other side of the station still need an extension so I'm thinking of building a folding extension that I can pull out whenever I need to use it. Also, some shelving next to the station would be useful and would complete my work space "L". Dust Collection for Router Table. And the CMS module. There is is plastic she...

defiantly, maybe
There's a whole lot in here. Aug 13, 2014. On Top of the World (Again). Way out there and way up there. On the rocks, on the snow, scrabbling across a glacier while blowing ice and screaming winds tried to pull me off.well, suffice to say that there's a big difference between reading and doing. Easily on the order of a Mount Adams or maybe even a Mount Rainier.* Since this drive is an unofficial part of my job interview, I ask politely "What mountain is that? Instead of shouting "Whoa! Well, on July 12th...
Software written by a Lazy Cat
Software written by a Lazy Cat. So today, I see news that SourceForge, once the mightiest of Free Libre Open Source Software distribution platforms, has basically Hijacked the GIMP for Windows account. And is bundling adware with the installer. They don't want to close the project and have decided that it has been 'unmaintained'. This is really shady behaviour. I guess I was one of the last hangers-on to SourceForge - when GitHub came out it was the latest trendy thing and anyone who's anyone. And that's...

Musing of a one legged shooter. Amputee in BJJ – Week of May 19th. May 20, 2014. Well I haven’t update in a couple of weeks as I’ve been traveling. I finally got a chance to hit a BJJ gym while I was on the road here at the Bianchi Cup. The first day we worked on closed guard and moving around to submit people from the position, pretty much the same thing I worked on in my last class in Dallas. Anyways no more updates until I get home. Crawfish Cup 2014 and GSSF at Dallas Pistol Club May 2014. May 5, 2014.

LazyMeter Has Shut Down. We're sorry to inform you that LazyMeter shut down on November 15, 2013. We built LazyMeter to change the way people feel about work, and we were thrilled by the way tens of thousands of people responded to its’ launch. We sincerely thank you for being a part of LazyMeter’s story, and while we’re sorry we couldn’t develop our full vision, we hope we at least demonstrated the potential for new approaches to the to-do list problem.
