Le Grappin began after a five year journey working for some of the world's great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay artisans. One thing I learned along the way was that special parcels, produce special wine. These parcels don't have to be famous, they just need to have something to say, and with care and attention in the vineyard and the winery, my job is to let them share their voice.

Harvest has been crazy with lots of 12 hour plus days in the vineyard and in the winery. Despite the early season maladies of mildew and oidium the fruit is in very good condition. The low yields, down 25 to 50% across my parcels, has contributed to some really dense flavours and thick skins which should give the wines some longevity.
