Shetland Sky: April 2015
http://shetlandsky.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 12 April 2015. Continuing on from last blog this map clearly shows how much light pollution could be seen either side of Sheffield. Spring ad Summer can be frustrating times for the astrophotographer with little dark time this side of midnight. Shetland has virtually 21 hours of day light with the other 3 hours classed as simmer dim when it never gets truly dark. Shetland Storm Force photography. Darker skies mean that you can see more stars especially when the moon is not showing. There are few ...
Shetland Sky: Shetland Hints and Tips
http://shetlandsky.blogspot.com/2015/08/shetland-hints-and-tips.html
Sunday, 9 August 2015. Shetland Hints and Tips. What can be seen in the Shetland Night sky- well nothing at present as it is too light. Harry Rose recently gave a very interesting talk, in which he indicated that providing you are not near a light polluted area you can actually see a lot in the Shetland night sky. He showed the benefits of using binoculars either 8x40 which has a wide view or very high powered but tripod mounted version. Harry explained everything in terms that everyone could understand,...
Astro Photos: January 2011

Sunday, 30 January 2011. I have quite a lot of light pollution due south, and although the CLS filter helped a lot, it didn't remove all the effects of the light, so this needed some careful processing. HOwever, the dark dust lanes running through the region are clearly visible. Links to this post. Tuesday, 18 January 2011. No winter season would be complete without an image of the Orion Nebula, and what better time to do it when there's a full moon close by in Gemini! Links to this post.
Astro Photos: A Sunflower in Spring
http://barnfieldbob.blogspot.com/2011/04/sunflower-in-spring.html
Thursday, 21 April 2011. A Sunflower in Spring. M63, also known as the Sunflower Galaxy, was last night's target. Situated in Canes Venatici, it's well-place high in the sky at sensible observing times at this time of year. This was taken through the LX-200R without focal reducer, and is composed from 12 x 5min luminance and 12 x 2 min each R, G and B. Something to look out for next time! Sunday, 20 March 2011. M94 in Canes Venatici. This seems to be a less frequently photographed galaxy than some, but would repay some further attention when the been is less obtrusive! Astro Photos: May 2010

Friday, 28 May 2010. Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888. But I then used the combined H-alpha frame as the red channel, as well as the luminance channel, with the G and B frames. It was taken through the LX200 at f/10, which is clearly too long a focal length to get it all in. I will have another go at this one later in the season, when the nights are a bit longer. I'll also need to use the focal reducer to get it all in; the extra photons per pixel will also help to get a brighter, clearer image. Last night was ...

Astro Photos: December 2010
http://barnfieldbob.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 26 December 2010. Last night was the first chance I've had in what's seemed like ages to get out into the observatory and do some imaging - so what if it was Christmas Day! Links to this post. Thursday, 9 December 2010. The Rosette Nebula in Monoceros has long been a favourite object of mine, and ever since I bought the Atik, I've wanted to try imaging the Rosette in narrowband; last night, I got my chance! Astro Photos: June 2010
http://barnfieldbob.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, 17 June 2010. While staying up late last night to try and get a glimpse of Comet McNaught, I had another go at the Crescent Nebula, NGC6888. The first shot is just the H alpha information, a stack of 10 x 5min exposures through the ED80. Although it wasn't properly dark, there's still a goodly amount of imformation to be teased out of the image. Links to this post. Saturday, 5 June 2010. Links to this post. July 27, 2012. The day has finally arrived! After almost 2 years of on and off part time work we are ready to release LittleBeerBook to the public. This is what we are calling LittleBeerBook: American Lite Lager release. Why the name you might ask? Well we were very concerned about releasing a SIMPLE (or not complex) tool for you to rate beers you have had or are currently having. We believe we have achieved that because of these items. Type ahead, alternate spellings and sounds-like algorithms. We will ...

By Any Dreams Necessary. The power of not very much. Gar nicht bekannt wird hingegen sein, dass bei einem seiner Flüge ein Fuchs mit an Bord war! Damit allerdings […]. Der Fuchs und das Funkeln. Schau mir in die Augen, Kleiner.
