Wednesday, August 31, 2011. We seem to have quite a few nicknames for both of our kids. They are so funny to me. Sometimes I catch myself saying one of them and thinking.why do I do this? ButI love them all just the same. Here are some of the ones we use for Michael! Mr Mike (usually said with a "Mr. T" accent). Bubba (Will hates this one). Stinky Bean (not pretty.I know). Lizzie has been so excited to start school that she could hardly wait! Playing before school started. Thursday, August 18, 2011.

He has learned so much in one year and changed so much too. I still cant believe sometimes how lucky and blessed we are to have him. He is such a joy! Sometimes I wish I could stop time and freeze both of our kids where they are now. Some of the things I want to always remember about where he is right now are:. How much I love and adore him!

Last week we went to Florida to get out of the rain and enjoy some warm weather and sunshine! Florida did not disappoint :) This was our first real trip with 2 kids. We have taken a few short overnighters, but not on a plane and for a week. It harder, but a lot of fun! A little different dynamic than before with just Lizzie, but it was still tons of fun!

Monday, September 3, 2012. So we packed up, and headed out with the plan to just see how far we could get. As we started hiking, it began to sprinkle. We both looked at each other with that.hmmmmm.look, but kept going. A little further in and it started to pour! After the tent was set up, the clouds had blown over and the sun was shining through! It may be a great night after all, we thought. We made ourselves some breakfast burritos (with a freeze dried bag of eggs, etc.actually pretty good! We may actu...

Everything I Never Knew I Always Wanted: February 2013

Everything I Never Knew I Always Wanted. Sunday, February 24, 2013. Our Precious Mercy Faith. Waiting to meet our tiny. David came home and we quietly prepared ourselves for the day. We remembered that we were going to have to buy a new camera when our baby was born, so even though this was months earlier than expected, we decided we definitely needed a camera for this day and went to Best Buy to buy a camera, and as he admitted to me later, David thought this would somehow delay the inevitable! While I ...

Everything I Never Knew I Always Wanted. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. The story of our little sweetheart is a joyous yet heartbreaking one. We met her the same day we had to say goodbye. Our lives will forever be changed by her short and beautiful entrance. Here's her story, from the beginning. I knew exactly what he meant. And THAT meant that our waiting was over.it was time! It still took several months, of course, but we were excited to get that positive pregnancy test! David just laughed as I grabbed...

Everything I Never Knew I Always Wanted: January 2010

Everything I Never Knew I Always Wanted. Tuesday, January 26, 2010. As a nurse (and also as a human) I know that there are people we connect with more than others. I've had many experiences at work when I've received report from a nurse that a certain patient was difficult, or needy, or apathetic, or rude, or a thousand other non-attractive personality traits! Anyway, back to my original idea.sometimes I have such unique and amazing connections with families that completely make my night! I LOVE MY JOB.

Everything I Never Knew I Always Wanted. Thursday, August 4, 2011. Cutting Our Cake. And Eating It Too. My husband waiting for me to come help him fulfill a time-honored tradition of stuffing our faces in our delicious wedding cake. I LOVE how his every expression shows impatience, from the stance, hands on hips and even the look on his face.it's all a bold lie; this man is amazingly patient with me! I mean, he waited over 14 years for this day with me! Slice it, Baby! And the crowd gets larger. Even miss...

This was Porter's first time out on the course, and he did great! 65279; He hit on all nine holes and had some great puts too. Here's Davy helping him get lined up. It was so sweet watching the two of them together. I love watching my children learning and being outside! It was the best way to spend a Saturday. Thanks Love for the best day!

Keeping up with the four of us! Saturday, December 29, 2012. Porter had another amazing Jr. Jazz year with Davy as the coach. They improved so much from the beginning of the season to the end, especially Porter. Of course, the one game Davy missed, Porter scored 30 points! It was incredible. He was so excited and played to great. Here he is playing in that game! And here he is after having the game of his life! Way to go Porter. Wes Jacobs told me, "He sure is Davy's kid!
