Thanks for stopping by. This lifestyle cookbook is the culmination of 30 years of summering on this little island of Chappaquiddick with our family. My husband Jeff has been fishing since he was a boy and he’s developed those skills to such a point where we have fresh fish almost every day we are out here. Together we’ve developed recipes using the daily catch combined with the fresh ingredients we’ve foraged and purchased from our local farms. You can order a copy of my book from the publisher.

Recipes

This recipe was inspired by our friends Mary and Joe Najmy’s Lebanese family recipe. Jeff and I are always trying to use the resources around us in different ways, and somehow the idea came to me to try adding bluefish to the mix. These have become a family favorite. They are full of flavor. Recipe for the fish stock is on page 113. 2 dozen freshly picked grape leaves. 1 cup cooked white rice. Handful of pine nuts. 189; cup chopped sweet onion. 1 minced garlic clove, plus two or three more whole cloves.

I have loved beautiful books since I was a child. This love led to my first job out of college which was as a book designer for a small New York graphic design studio. One of my favorite jobs before taking on this book was as a featured photojournalist for New Canaan Patch, a local news site that allowed me to highlight a variety of interesting and talented people, and show off the beauty of our little New England town. My Heart in Two Places

An expat is both a foreigner and a local. Thursday, July 9, 2015. I ve been an expat for over 20 years. The word expat is not a word I use to describe myself; it s a word I use to succinctly explain my life in Florence and Paris. Being an expat for some people means living overseas and returning home every year. For me, being an expat means being a foreigner and a local all at once in a place that is your home. Achieving balance in Florence. Friday, June 26, 2015. Diving back into my local life. Places a...
