A little slow, a lot of fun! Monthly Archives: November 2014. Running an F-ing Marathon. November 28, 2014. Warning. This post might be full of expletives and cheesy sayings. On Sunday, October 12, 2014 I ran a marathon. I did it. I actually did it. It still continues to hit me that I’ve accomplished something that’s been on my bucket list for years. That I dreamed about. And cried about. And complained about.

A little slow, a lot of fun! Monthly Archives: October 2013. October 2, 2013. Sorry it’s been so long! We’ve put in lots of miles and still have many to go. Only 4.5 weeks til the half marathon! Closer still is the wedding, so I’ll try to post more, but it might be pushed to the back burner as things get more hectic. Yay for fall running!

A little slow, a lot of fun! Monthly Archives: August 2014. The Silence of the Runner. August 13, 2014. It’s been pretty quite here lately. And I apologize for that. My beloved Papa died peacefully on June 20th and I have had zero desire to write anything. At all. It was even difficult to write in my training journal after workouts. Before he died I had this big plan for my blog during marathon.

Slow Mo | Confessions

A little slow, a lot of fun! June 11, 2014. So here’s the thing, after three days of taking it easy and not training much of anything (except the finger that clicks the remote) I am still feeling blah. Lethargic, tired, worn out, whatever you want to call it, I’m suffering from it. I’ve been eating well, sleeping well for the most part, and taking it easy. BUT I’M STILL TIRED. If my goal is that simple, why can’t my training be? Loving the run (in moderation),. Laquo; My Week with Too Many Pictures.

A little slow, a lot of fun! Monthly Archives: September 2014. When Training Doesn’t Go As Planned. September 8, 2014. It’s a bummer, right? You put the hours in, you drink all the gatorade, you give 150% and then WHOMP. You hit the training wall. You either get burned out or injured. Thankfully I’m just dealing with the former. Two weekends ago I was supposed to run 18 miles, and I failed. There were a.

A little slow, a lot of fun! My Week with Too Many Pictures. June 9, 2014. Warning: there are selfies involved. This past week has been a bit crazy! My work (hours/people/stuff in general) has been in flux and has complicated things quite a bit recently. Here’s how the week went:. Sick, sick, sick. Didn’t even make it in to work. No gym for me. After I got off work I drove to Winston-Salem to visit with family! Food doesn’t have to be boring to be good for you! Wanna hear a secret? We went out to the Ame...

Slow Mo | When Training Doesn’t Go As Planned
http://mososlow.com/2014/09/08/when-training-doesnt-go-as-planned
A little slow, a lot of fun! When Training Doesn’t Go As Planned. September 8, 2014. It’s a bummer, right? What is going on? Why can’t I do this? I’m trying to mentally persevere. It was tough enough to not complete the one long run two weeks ago, but now to not be able to do it for the second week in a row? It’s been difficult to not question EVERYTHING about training. Am I eating enough? Am I eating too much? Is my carb intake high enough? Should I start drinking gatorade earlier? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
