2016 Taiwan, updated by Irene. 回美國後過著規律的生活。每天早上睡眼惺忪的起床，上班時間照三餐擠奶，晚上回家陪小貝兒看圖卡，唸故事書，飛快地吃完晚飯後，幫小貝洗澡，換衣，餵奶，哄睡，一整晚的時間就不見了，而所謂自己的時間，就是小貝睡了以後，拿著 ipad 在床上看看臉書上朋友們的動態，大概五分鐘後也就不支倒地。 最近在臉書上看到有朋友 post 新手媽媽的十個嘆氣 (10 sighs), 其中一個是 "洗澡就像上 spa" , "刷個牙也像完成一件大事"，真是一點也沒錯。有個小嬰兒在身旁，要挪時間做自己的事真是難上加難，所以我很佩服酪梨壽司，怎麼能當全職媽媽還有時間每天在臉書上 post 小孩子的照片跟寫文章? 這三個禮拜下來，小貝兒比較熟悉紐約的家了，哭鬧時間縮短，食量增加，晚上最長曾經連睡七個小時，雖然只有那麼一天，隔天又照樣半夜起來哭，但是我們都懷抱著希望，祈禱連續睡八個小時的日子離我們不遠。 小貝出生後，我突然也對自己的人生有許多想法，這陣子在 Youtube 上看了一系列 為自己按讚. 但是 "謝謝你光顧, 我的小怪物". 雖然每個航空公司的規定不一樣,但大部分的...

2016 Taiwan, updated by Irene. 今天, 星期五晚上, 是第一天的瑜珈老師課程。在去上課的地鐵上仍忐忑不安, 質疑自己為什麼不選離家近的瑜珈教室, 而選一個又遠又陌生的環境, 然後想著自己不會做頭倒立, 甚至什麼倒力的動作都不會, 這樣真的還有資格去參加瑜珈老師課程嗎？ 拿了一本厚厚的講義, 三十個人圍成一個大圓在瑜珈教室裡隨地而坐。免不了的來個自我介紹, 重點放在為何接觸瑜珈。 從二十幾歲到五十幾歲, 從一兩年到十年的練習, 是因為身體受傷, 或是心靈受創接觸瑜珈, 在簡短的版本之後, 每個人都有屬於自己的故事。但是喜歡做瑜珈的原因是一樣的, 因為看到自己的轉變, 想要成為一個活得更好的人。 我們有兩個老師, 其中一位叫 Yogi Charu , 是個非常有趣的人, 加勒比海那帶長大, 年輕時還到西馬拉亞學瑜珈數年, 之後到香港, 南美, 非州各地教瑜珈, 他說了許多話, 頓時讓我對這次的課程有種踏實的感覺。記得的是當一個好的老師最重要的就是當一個好的學生, 在瑜珈的文化中, 老師亦是學生, 同學生是對等的地位, 兩方互相學習成長。 訂閱： 文章 (Atom). 三個月前才...

2016 Taiwan, updated by Irene. 老媽, 老弟, 和我三人相約巴黎見面。其實從老弟搬去巴黎工作後，這個旅行計劃就一直醞釀著, 但是吉妮的走卻是成行的主要原因, 大家對她的思念不減, 對彼此的思念也增加了。 上次拜訪巴黎走馬看花, 覺得這個城市陰陰冷冷很鬱悶。這次每天大太陽伺候, 只是二月份的太陽重看不重用, 裹得像企鵝的老媽直喊冷, 我這紐約客對零下三度的低溫沒在怕, 不過變化角色當觀光客, 在外面走一整天才知道冷風的厲害。 有個在地客的老弟, 好處多得沒話說。歇腳的地方有著落, 吃法國料理有人推薦, 連旅行路線也有人精心規劃安排。 老弟的公寓在一個安靜的小巷弄內，先得經過一長拱廊, 鐵門一層又一層, 來到個有古老的小小庭院, 左轉後才是公寓大門。還記得 Before Sunset 裡 Celine 的公寓嗎？有點那樣的味道, 但老弟的是現代加蓋的新式電梯公寓。進了門, 面對中庭, 窗外看得到古石牆, 藤蔓, 和大樹, 鬧中取靜。 三個月前才認識 Kale 這種蔬菜, 中文名是羽衣甘藍。我的瑜珈教室附近有一家生機蔬果汁小店叫 Juice Generation.
