Nef with one ‘f’. Laquo; The Time Has Come. Life with Lots of Kids. One year ago, my Grandpa Finlayson passed away. It was quite sudden. On Memorial Day he went to a church breakfast, came home to get ready to go shopping for a new car, got in the shower and collapsed. I miss him. Sidenote: Jacob has lost more things at school than I or all my siblings did combined. We have NEVER recovered a missing sweatshirt, jacket or lunchbox. And there have been many. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. I acted on a whim today. I was hanging out with Kate and Liz today whilst Kate trimmed up Liz's cute hair, and this is what happened. As I watched Kate snip with her skilled hands, I was somehow reminded that I have had the same hair since about the 9th grade, which is a total of about 6 1/2 years. Time for a change? I think so. Friday, January 1, 2010. It has been wonderful being back together as family after a year a part. Chris is currently enjoying a much deserved month off. . The week of Christmas, we went to Washington D.C. with my parents and grandparents. We had a wonderful time enjoying the many sites of our nation's capital. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. This last weekend, the kids and I had the opportunity to go to Myrtle Beach for a Military Spouses Retreat put on by the Chaplin in Chris' Brigade. They paid for the hotel, food, and even childcare when I was in the seminars. We had so much fun! This is the view from our hotel balcony.
