October 27, 2014. Here is the first of several MX-2424 shots. 8212; jaycotton @ 6:16 pm. This is the full up remote rig. The guy in front with the Alan and Heath is the FOH mixer. The band is Megatones from SF bay area. In this picture you see the MX-2424 at the bottom, with a power sequencer next up. The 3 M-Audio preamps are used for just that, I have them setup now to all ADAT to the MX-2424. The top rack is a Behringer mixer and headphone amp. This is used to check solo’s on the recording.

In the corner next to the mixer power supply. Fan noise is sneaking through the seem. I packed some foam. In the gap, but that did not fix the problem. Control room door is the next project. September 27, 2012. 8212; jaycotton @ 6:08 pm. I got an re20 via ebay and it’s in need of serious work. The mic works and sound fair, but all the rubber parts inside are missing/flaking/falling out. I ordered replacement parts from Full Compass (they have lots of replacement parts) and I expect to have the mic cleaned up and ready by next week. This is ‘o.k.’ as long as we are careful about what we put in there. Problem is the door will now have to swing out. I am thinking about a solid core slab door.
