The first day of summer has come and gone as well as a visit with friends from high school, a few too many cocktails, two neighborhood street fairs (the Fremont Fair and West Seattle Summerfest), and two weddings. Monday, June 10, 2013. Recap of the 2013 National Stationery Show. We've been back from our trip to 2013 National Stationery Show for 13 days and it was a doozy! Mr Mate accompanied us on the trip and was a big help as support staff bringing us sweet, icy, caffeinated beverages each day. And in our flameproofing adventures, found gaffters tape that closely approximated the chartreuse I used for printing our NSS mailers. You can see our mailers blogged about on Crow and Canary. October 8, 2014. Abby is now nine months old! Luckily we've only had one incident when the door actually made contact. September 20, 2013. It's about time for another baby update. I am now 25 weeks, which is feeling very close to the end for some reason even though I still have another trimester go. The other day someone commented, "wow, only three more months! And it totally blew my mind. Technically it's another 3.5 months but whose counting. ;). October 21, 2013. She is so active and loves to be outside. I take her on "nature" walks everyday which are really walks around the block. She likes to stop and pick up interesting things like flowers, sticks and mostly garbage. She has really learned the meaning of "icky! One, two three! Sounds more like "Ahn, ta, eee! She can also make the sounds for wolf, sheep and dog. Playing at Great's house. Taking a ride with Poppy at the park. Riding the carousel at Happy Hollow. Helping Papa in the garden.

January 18, 2015. Abs giving it a try. Abs in the mirror. Papa makes the best bubbles! In the evening we ordered Chinese food (Ellie and Abby's favorite) and I baked a cake for a cake smash. I had forgotten that we threw away our pastry bag so I resorted to frosting with a plastic baggie. The result was this spiky cake! Abby loved smashing it until she couldn't get the frosting off of her hands. I don't even think she really ate any of it, she just loved smooshing her hands in it. And then on to smearing.

March 17, 2014. Abby Newborn Photo Shoot. These photos were taken of Abby when she was two weeks old by our friend Heather Millenaar. Abby was pretty agreeable and allowed us to bend her this way and that way but her big sister wasn't as cooperative. I was hoping to get a good photo of the girls together but it was hard to get them in the same shot. In the end we got some really great shots of each of them - just not together. So in love with these two girls! Thank you Heather for the beautiful photos.

September 8, 2014. Seven and Eight months. While we were there Abby got her first tooth and on our last day there, she started to crawl! Lately she has been nursing a ton and I thought she might be going through a growth spurt. She only gained a pound this month but she has grown one inch. She is now wearing 9 month clothes which I just got out of the basement because I couldn't snap her pajamas anymore. Here are her stats for this month:. Head circumference: 44.5cm. August 20, 2013. We would have been happy with "healthy" but I am secretly (and not so secretly) pleased that I'll be able to reuse Ellie's clothes and girl stuff. She has an unnatural amount of clothing so it's great that we don't have to start over from scratch in that department. The ultrasound went well and based on my last experience I decided to not. December 17, 2013. I can't believe it but it's that time again - full term! I don't know if its because its the holiday season or because pregnancy the 2nd time around is so much busier, but this baby making thing has just whizzed by.
