A Kid Lit Blog: Dear Blog,
https://stephaniegeckle.blogspot.com/2016/01/dear-blog_17.html
A Kid Lit Blog. Sunday, January 17, 2016. So much is going on, which is why I haven't written in ages. And this time I promise to hit the "publish" button instead of keeping this post hidden from the world. AND I promise to finish this post instead of leaving it not-even-half-way done. Hmmm, I was really tempted to break my promise. I'm such a reluctant writer. Ok, I was just about to break that promise again! Time to push through. WRITING CAN BE HARD! Time to push through. But, until then. Now our heroi...

This year the speakers were Kate DiCamillo, Joyce Sidman, Matt de la Peña, and Yuyi Morales. It was such an inspiring event.can I just pull a Wayne and Garth and bow to all the organizers and presenters? I even received this certificate for attending. Kudos to Nancy for signing like 600 of them! Wow What a turnout!

A Kid Lit Blog: Summon your inner 80s child for a little motivation today!
https://stephaniegeckle.blogspot.com/2016/05/summon-your-inner-80s-child-for-little.html
A Kid Lit Blog. Friday, May 20, 2016. Summon your inner 80s child for a little motivation today! To the people of my generation! You who were there when MTV first aired. This post is for you. Reflect on who you were at age, 8, 9, 10, 11. Do you remember your dreams? The things you were into? What made you happy? Find an old picture of yourself smiling. What would that child say to you now? What would you say back? Would she (he) be amazed at who you've become? Did she cringe a little? G ag me with a spoon.

A Kid Lit Blog: December 2016
https://stephaniegeckle.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
A Kid Lit Blog. Friday, December 30, 2016. On December 7th of this year, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in my left parietal lobe. I think I will use this blog to document what's been going on. It has been very helpful talking about this to my Facebook friends, neighbors, and family. The shock of it all was just too great to keep inside. I just had to share. I don't mean to spread the dread around, but you guys can handle it! And I have no shame in admitting that I can be needy. We are all ONE family.

A Kid Lit Blog: August 2014
https://stephaniegeckle.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
A Kid Lit Blog. Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Books are social creatures. They need to meet and be around people. They can't sit around on the shelf forever. It's bad for their health. Just think of all that dust! Apparently, my little neighborhood understands this. We brought together (like a book potluck) over 100 children's books for the Snohomish Book Cafe. Imagine what we can do by this time next year. So keep 'em moving, folks. Get those books off the shelves. Get those pages turning! We call her Polly.

https://stephaniegeckle.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
A Kid Lit Blog. Wednesday, October 15, 2014. My Brilliant Idea of the Month (MyBrIdMo) #1: The Book Drone. I pride myself on having great ideas. I'm talking really, REALLY. Like the one where I recommended all hunting shacks in Arkansas be turned to deer shelters to keep those poor little (ahem) dears. I know. BRILLIANT! So when I heard the Everett book mobile was retiring due to lack of funding. I thought to myself, WE CAN'T LET THIS HAPPEN! Pegasus in the 2004 Salty Sea Days Parade. Hey, is that really.
