Zoo | really really blog

http://www.blog.reallyreally.com/2015/08/14/zoo

August 14, 2015. Amanda and Kosmy invited Iris and I to be their guest at the zoo today. We graciously accepted. This is mine and Iris’ second trip this summer but she was more into it this time because she is walking still holding my hand but getting around great. Obligatory selfie on the train. I took Iris in to pet the goats for the first time. Doing a little “whale” watching…. End of trip selfie. Babies are over it and ready for naps. Moms too. Thanks for inviting us Kosmy and Amanda! June 18, 2015. 8216;s baby blanket back in February when I was talking about work-in-progress projects. I finished it a month or so later and had the pleasure of delivering it to her in person just a few weeks ago. This is a miles-a-minute blanket. It was crocheted in strips and then bound together and trimmed with the coral color. The name implies it is super fast but I found that it wasn’t any speedier than other crochet. I liked seeing the pattern and color changing emerge as I worked. In some of them!

Breastfeeding did not magically return me to my pre-pregnancy weight which I heard sometimes happens (is this an urban legend? I made this chicken, kale, brown rice soup. Memorial Day Weekend 2015 | really really blog

http://www.blog.reallyreally.com/2015/05/25/memorial-day-weekend-2015

Memorial Day Weekend 2015. May 25, 2015. Iris and I kicked off the long weekend by visiting Mark at his office downtown. 8216;The face’. Joined us in the office and at lunch. Mark was obviously thrilled that I took a picture of him at his desk. Saturday, we took The Face to a cookout. Sunday, we went to the park for Iris’ first time on the swings. She loved it. We got some ice cream and walked around the harbor hoping she’d nap in the stroller. She didn’t. With Mark’s family. We tied for second last!

Magnus Lang = Liam and Charlotte. A tale of this family of four with one terrific dad, two brilliant kids, and one amateur mom doing her best to learn on the job. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Some days are tougher than others in terms of being Liam's mom. Today is one of those trying days when I wonder why on earth my kid is wired so differently from others. We went to soccer practice which is always entertaining with three year olds. Liam insisted on playing goalie and yelling out "Not Today!

This kids have been especially crazy lately. I think it is the abnormally nice weather. Liam wants to know when the pool is going to open as it is obviously summer. When it is 83 degrees outside it is hard to argue with him. Liam "working" on his bike. While I was working on my bike. Liam posed in front of the tree.

Peace and Plastic: June 2014

Saturday, June 28, 2014. So last night we were watching and episode of Chuck. But that is just TV. In a patch of mental clarity after a somewhat existential meditative massage. I realized that in real life "rush" (the verb, NOT the band) is a thing that prevents us from finding success with the rhythm of the universe. Monday, July 19, 2010. Escargot is suppose to be a delicacy but the snails here in Switzerland are safe from becoming someone's lunch. We have heard that snails here are protected and cannot be hurt, which might explain why you can occasionally find some pretty huge ones running around. or should I say, sliding along. One day we wanted to get out of the house so we took a bike ride to a nice spot by the old Aare river. Roo and I took a little swim. Posted by Diesel Debbie and Captain Pancakes.

Saturday, October 26, 2013. A few weeks back I posted about how I was feeling a little homesick. After moving away from home to begin an adventure in Key West, Florida. The same day I wrote that post I also worked up a little craft project to make myself feel better. There is no better time to share it with you than now as I am entering the Blogger's Quilt Festival. Hosted by Amy's Creative Side. Hosted by my friends at Craftster. You can go HERE. To vote for me if you'd like. So I just moved here:.

Peace and Plastic: Fashion Trends: Get thee to the Stables

Monday, February 9, 2015. Fashion Trends: Get thee to the Stables. Do you ever get tired of your yoga pants, tights or leggings getting all worn out around the inner back side of your knees? Though that fact does not stop me from making this very important public service announcement. Ladies, the reign of the YOGA PANT is ending. The "sexy" sweat is long gone. Even the high end athletic tight is on it's way out (Though I still get a thrill. Wearing my array of Nike Legend 2.0 Tights. Not only do they hav...

On November and December 2016. November and December 2016. January 7, 2017. I’ve been behind on our monthly summary, so this is me catching up. It was so warm in November that we had tomatoes trying to come up through the kale. They were eliminated during the first frost, of course, but not before they had little green tomatoes! Watch out for the kale monsters! I started on a playhouse for the girls. Right now it’s just a floor. It was still warm enough for a few bike rides. Quoth R: “If they can c...
