That Not So Fresh Feeling. May 8, 2016. Docker is a really cool technology. But it’s local implementation on the Mac was just a mess of a layer on top of a VM, with a bunch of network jankyness. It was fine for doing a little bit of prototyping, but it fought with my local VMs, added GBs of VMs to my SSD, and was just a huge pain in the ass to work with. The new Docker beta. Docker still doesn’t clean up exited/old containers, which I think would be a useful feature. Owning Your Own Social Media Content.

That Not So Fresh Feeling. Author Archives: Ryan Toohil. Evernote to Apple Notes. August 19, 2016. I’ve been an Evernote user for about 8 years now. The earliest note I have in Evernote is from May of 2008. I’m not an uber-power user, but I’ve used Evernote for a lot of things over the years and have about 1400 notes in Evernote. That Not So Fresh Feeling. A Couple of Debian 7 to Debian 8 Gotchas. May 18, 2015. Decided on a whim to use some down time this morning to upgrade my server from Debian 7 to Debian 8. As usual, I ran into a few issues that I wasn’t anticipating (but should have been). In Debian 8, Varnish is upgraded from 3.x to 4.x. I probably should have paid more attention to that. For me, it meant a couple of things needed to change:. Add vcl 4.0; as your first line of your VCL. Apt-get upgrade; apt-get autoremove.
