Blink and it’s scone…. May 20, 2012. This week started out on a bit of a high. I got a few essay results back and I had done much better than I had expected to so that was a really nice boost. We didn’t start the fire…. May 13, 2012. On Wednesday we had our first day in the Welbeck Bakehouse which is downstairs from our main training room. Matt, the head baker for the Bakehouse, showed us how to use the wood fired oven and gave us a tour of the bakery. The Welbeck wood fired ovens. Some of the bread we made. It would have been nice to have found out more about what everyone else was doing but with so many of us in quite a small space there wasn’t really a chance to. Working in the bakehouse.

July 16, 2014. School House Centennial Gazebo. In honor of our building's 100th anniversary in 2014, we constructed a 12'x16' Centennial Gazebo along the back fenceline of the Inn. The gazebo complements the architectual style of the Inn with a rectangular footprint, galvanized metal roof and white trim. The red brick floor matches that of the brick sidewalks and we used limestone block in the adjacent landscaping. Here are some photos of the construction progress and finished structure:.
