Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Custom Three Person Cherry Walleye Cribbage Board. Custom Three Person Walleye shaped cribbage board is being made as a gift for a friend to give to their father. It is lasered showing him as the #1 Walleye and Cribbage Fan. It was created using Cherry and measures in around 24 inches long and 10 inches wide. There is a storage slot on the back for the custom metal pegs which comes with it. Lasering and sanding done and waiting for finish. Slot on back for custom metal pegs.

He was so thrilled with the design and the artwork – he would pick it up every 5 minutes or so and just look at it and comment on what a wonderful job you did and that the elk was amazing! This board measures in at 23 inches long x 6 inches wide x 3 inches tall. Sapele Mahogany was used to make the main deck and birch for the bottom two layers. Sunday, February 8, 2015. More Pizza Peels for 1000 Degree Pizzeria. More custom pizza peels being created for 1000 Degree pizzeria. Being made out of local birch with their logo highlighted. They will be used as display above their counters The black part of the logo was painted after being cut in using a CNC router system. They have a 32 inch x 32 inch peel with a 24 inch handle. Logo is painted by hand. Sanded and cleaned for painting. Glued up and ready for CNC cutout. The beginning of the process.

Thursday, May 7, 2015. Custom Cribbage Boards For USS San Francisco (SSN-711). Twenty custom two person cribbage boards were created for a client in San Diego. He was departing his ship and wanted to give one of these boards to each one of his wardroom mates. I made a larger board for his departing skipper last year. Returning clients are awesome. Hard maple was used in creating these boards and they measure in at 5 inches wide and 13 inches long. 8220;The Man in the Arena”. Lasered and simple edge routed.

These custom peels are being created for a 24 hour buffet in Las Vegas, so they must be created to withstand heat and continuous use. This paddle is 30 x 30 with 24 inch handle and local birch is used to make it. The reinforcement pieces added to back to provide extra support for its 24 hour use. Complete and ready for food grade mineral oil. Additional back supports being cut and shaped. Ready for scraping, sanding and shaping.

Friday, November 7, 2014. Lorenzo and Sons Pizza places in Philadelphia, PA. Custom 30 inch pizza peel with lasered logo were requested by Joe at Lorenzo and Sons Pizza in Philadelphia. It was created using native birch and has a 17 inch handle on top of the 30 inch peel. Finished peels drying with their coat of food grade mineral oil. Gluing in the inlay. Sanding and shaping. See section routed out in pref for inlay. Peel in glue up. Business logo they want on the peels. Sample photo of desired shape.

Monday, April 6, 2015. CNC Shark SlimLine Shop Upgrade. The new addition to Splinters Woodworks is finally setup and running. It is a CNC Shark Slimline with a 18 inch wide by 48 inch long bed. I decided to make the investment in my own CNC machine and I am excited to learn all I can about this whole process. It has been a tremendous learning experience to this point and the potential is unlimited. The best part is it was created right here in the USA. Let me hear your ideas. :-). The crib board was a big hit, but I think it is jinxed! I can’t buy a win on that thing! It was a huge hit this Christmas, and my daughter is one happy camper. Again, Thank You.
