Windows 8 and Boot Camp With Parallels - ‘Trying to boot from SATA 1’… And Hangs…. I came across this issue this morning on a brand new Retina Macbook Pro. I installed Windows 8 using Boot Camp, and then tried to setup a VM with Parallels using it. All seemed okay until it booted, and the Parallels boot screen just hung displaying:.
