chickaboom: January 2011
http://mychickaboom.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Do you remember playing jump rope with friends? One friend would stand at each end of the rope, swinging it, and you were just waiting for the right moment to jump in? That's kind of how I've felt about this. I've been toying with the idea of joining in on one of Angry Chicken's. Apron challenges for a long time. I guess I just needed a theme that I could really get into. And what better theme is there than Paris? Pop on over to tie one on.

Femmes Francophiles: Learning French: Immersion Programme Homestay
http://femmesfrancophiles.blogspot.com/2012/04/learning-french-immersion-programme.html
Samedi 14 avril 2012. Learning French: Immersion Programme Homestay. I am a mature aged person and like my independence but I strongly believe that the homestay is a key, integral part of any linguistic stay or immersion programme experience. Listen and observe how the language is used. Look for patterns, idioms. Try to understand the gist of what is being said. Don't let it overwhelm you. Participate and enjoy it. I had studied French for many years but still did not recall the word for tea towel! These...

Femmes Francophiles: French Gastronomy has a New Star
http://femmesfrancophiles.blogspot.com/2013/08/french-gastronomy-has-new-star.html
Jeudi 22 août 2013. French Gastronomy has a New Star. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is well known by Australian francophiles for its legendary antiques and second-hand goods market on a Sunday morning. Not so well-known is the Restaurant A Table. Run by Anne and Clément. This will change, as I am certain this couple and their restaurant are going to be the next big thing in French gastronomy. Roasted langoustine with horseradish, tartar of tomato and basil spaghetti. Sea bream almonds and rosemary. This blog has ...

Femmes Francophiles: Dreams do come true - Cycling in Paris
http://femmesfrancophiles.blogspot.com/2013/08/dreams-do-come-true-cycling-in-paris.html
Mercredi 14 août 2013. Dreams do come true - Cycling in Paris. Points out in her post Paris in August – where have all the people gone? Paris is relatively devoid of people at the moment. Lack of people at Arc de Triomphe. Me and my Velib in the deserted Place de la Concorde. Of course being in France no helmet is needed so no dreaded helmet hair. I am reliably informed that Parisiennes. Even less so when I stopped to take a photo and fell off the bike. Oh the embarrassment! French, English and Spanish).

Femmes Francophiles: Learning French: Starting over again (Part 2)
http://femmesfrancophiles.blogspot.com/2012/02/learning-french-starting-over-again_28.html
Mardi 28 février 2012. Learning French: Starting over again (Part 2). In Learning French: Starting over again (Part 1). I discussed the beginning of my second attempt at learning French. I didn't know when I started again that journey would be still going some 12 years later. The difference is that it is even more fun now than before. Buying extra grammar books. With 1 or 2 others as well as a regular coffee and chat with friends in French (including one who is French). These have since been replaced as ...
