The Object Guy: December 2009
http://blog.theobjectguy.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
December 2009 The Object Guy. Thursday, December 31, 2009. I don't really want to bag on another logging framework, but I've come across many posts that are downright scary. Here. S an example of a situation with one of the most popular logging frameworks. Read down a bit and you'll hear about deadlocks that happened every day- until they removed that logging framework. I've also read about other serious deadlock issues with that framework. But posting more links would be just piling on. Many ASP.NET...

September 2010 The Object Guy. Friday, September 3, 2010. Tweeting Logger (Twitter Logger Updated - Using OAuth). Twitter now requires OAuth in order to use their API. But if you want to avoid adding yet another DLL to your application and you have limited needs to integrate with Twitter- such as just tweeting, then this should get you started.

June 2011 The Object Guy. Saturday, June 18, 2011. Curiously Recurring Template Pattern. I was inspired to write this after seeing this. Question and answer on stackoverflow.com. Several things occurred to me while reading it. I want to focus on the technical issue, but I can't help but mention a couple ancillary things that got me here. Before I start, I want people to keep in mind that this post is not meant to be a criticism of anyone. It is a criticism of certain ideas. The problem with this, accordi...
The Object Guy: January 2010
http://blog.theobjectguy.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
January 2010 The Object Guy. Saturday, January 2, 2010. Obviously something is wrong when a logging framework is so complicated that people feel they need a special GUI to configure it. This. Is what I'm talking about. Doesn't require any configuration. But it supports it, if that's your style. It's intuitive enough- just like the rest of the framework- that you won't feel the need to call The Geek Squad to help you figure it out. Posted by The Object Guy. Friday, January 1, 2010.
