The Silver Iris Blog - photography by Granger Macy

Thursday, July 30, 2009. Wednesday, July 22, 2009. I got dragged to Grass Roots on Sunday. I especially enjoyed Scythian, a mixture of Irish, Ukranian and other assorted folk sounds. Very rhythmic and great violin work! And it seemed like a great place to grab some pictures too. Of course, there were lots of bands, but I got more into the ambience. I found lots of great pictures and have posted a few here. Friday, July 17, 2009. Back from the Sierras. Thursday, July 2, 2009. Lots of preparation this week.

The Silver Iris Blog - photography by Granger Macy: Moving On (for awhile)

http://blog.thesilveriris.com/2009/06/moving-on.html

Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Moving On (for awhile). Well I started on the website process to help my develop a 'professional' look. And I'm feeling comfortable with how things have developed - even though there is still a lot of work to do until the site is no longer 'under construction'. So I'm now thinking ahead to what started this whole thing and the need to get ready for the Artists Market on July 31. I worked on the business card. The picture here is the back of the card. The Silver Iris Blog - photography by Granger Macy: New Roots School training yesterday

http://blog.thesilveriris.com/2009/06/new-roots-training-yesterday.html

Sunday, June 21, 2009. New Roots School training yesterday. Wow What a day yesterday. We had just about the entire faculty together all in the same place for our training in Expeditionary Learning. I was able to attend the sample learning experience with all our new faculty. What an amazing group of educators! The energy never lagged for the whole day. Of course, I brought along my camera and have uploaded pictures for the day to the events section of my website. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://blog.thesilveriris.com/2009/06/well-after-fooling-around-with-all-web.html

Monday, June 15, 2009. Well after fooling around with all the web setup I'm finally getting some of my non-event type images uploaded to the website. I'm highlighting an image here from my Ithaca at Dusk. I've had a lot of fun working on these because I really set up to try a broad range of processing techniques that I thought might help capture the spirit of the evening.
