Thomas Gaitley Photography Blog. My Lens Trinity Is Rapidly Becoming A Twin. This image of a church in Howth, Ireland was taken with my recently acquired Nikkor 24mm-120mm f/4 VR lens. The light was low since I was in shadow, so the shutter speed was slow (1/20 sec). On top of that, I was also slightly zoomed in. Taken together, this is all part of a recipe for a blurry image.
