My favourite set of minerals – Stratiland
https://stratiland.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/my-favourite-set-of-minerals
Geology page from explorock.com. My favourite set of minerals. Having taken some pictures about minerals one month ago I decided to post this little set of minerals that look like pretty good, they are hand samples with a variety of minerals. Due to I am not the best mineralogist, I did my best attempt to recognize and show them for sharing. The following ten samples have a nice view for well. Pyrrhotite and quartz (as fragments). Sphalerite (the coin has 2 centimeters of diameter). Until the next post!

Geology page from explorock.com. Rock samples from Fortaleza Valley, Peru. Geological map of Fortaleza Valley. Based on the mapping made by Peruvian Geological Survey (INGEMMET). The green crossings represent the sites where the samples were taken. Well, that is all for now. I sincerely hope that you can enjoy this pictures as much as me. Happy sunday to everybody! Geology page from explorock.com. Shallow marine sedimentary facies from Morro Solar. Therefore, Morro Solar locality represents a great goal for those who are trying to unravel the mysteries of this little area composed by shallow marine sedimentary facies (al least in this part of the regional setting). Afterwards you shall see some pictures of the related sedimentary structures as a preview of a whole field observation with emphasis in sedimentary physical processes. Reactivation surfaces. Walking below the rain at Huancayo – Stratiland
https://stratiland.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/walking-below-the-rain-at-huancayo
Geology page from explorock.com. Walking below the rain at Huancayo. The last weekend, I and some friends of mine spent some of our time for visiting Huancayo, as well as taking a tour, we were walking and checking the sedimentary deposits around the main city, through Miluchaca. Of course, it was a great walk. Unconsolidated sedimentary deposits at Torre Torre, Huancayo. Perú. These deposits seem to be very similar to the ones observed at Torre Torre composed basically of erosive debris flow (gravel) an...

Walkthroughs for Oasis Montaj – Stratiland
https://stratiland.wordpress.com/2012/08/26/walkthroughs-for-oasis-montaj
Geology page from explorock.com. Walkthroughs for Oasis Montaj. I have recently finished the whole set of tutorials about the basic use of Oasis Montaj, I had already worked on that information months ago and now I may say that this data will be extremely useful for many interested people on it. They are all 13 chapters about how to use Oasis Montaj for geological purposes. Made by me and published in my geoblog Explorock. A little preview of what you could do with Oasis Montaj. I am attaching here.
