The Daily Dissidence: John Tory to lose Don Valley West?
http://thedailydissidence.blogspot.com/2007/10/john-tory-to-lose-don-valley-west.html
Dissenting (almost) Daily Since 2006. Tuesday, October 2, 2007. John Tory to lose Don Valley West? Ottawa Citizen article suggest that John Tory might not be able to knock of Kathleen Wynne in Don Valley West. If Tory does end up losing this riding, he'll have no one to blame but himself and his silly plan to segregate Ontario's school system. The numbers on Democraticspace today concur with this. He appears to be going down to the education minister. October 4, 2007 at 1:02 AM. Anyone who's Anyone reads.

Dissenting (almost) Daily Since 2006. Tuesday, September 18, 2007. University of Florida student Tasered at Kerry forum. Land of the free? I guess not. Nothing stops free debate like heavy handed cops. The worst part of the video was the other students, sitting there like anesthetized sheep. What the hell is wrong down there? September 18, 2007 at 6:25 PM. Suddenly. the MSM has been inspired: "he's a practical joker, a SHOWBOATER! So says the Powers That Be, after noodling on the best SPIN. Can be found @.

Blogging for democracy: Conservative dissent (and hypocrisy) on Copyright
http://markgreenan.blogspot.com/2008/06/conservative-dissent-and-hypocrisy-on.html
Tuesday, June 17, 2008. A interesting guest blog on Small Dead Animals. Looks like lance is hopefully one of many Tories now reconsidering their support for the freedom-hating Conservatives ( as NDP candidate Dana Larsen notes. The NDP is definitely the most libertarian of Canada's major parties). This is good to see. Hopefully, some of those voters will consider looking at the NDP in their ridings, who will no doubt be the party that pushes back hardest on this horrible legislation. This article by the ...

Blogging for democracy: February 2007
http://markgreenan.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Catherine Bell, the NDP MP spearheading the Party's latest motion, got up in Question Period yesterday and asked the government. About their polling exercise on electoral reform, explained in more detail in this article. Apparently, they're "independent" but also think that the "old, low-performance policy paradigm and a tax regime that renders [the Prairies] less competitive". That doesn't sound centrist or independent to me. SourceWatch. Posted by Mark Greenan. The past fe...

Observations on whatever I desire to write about. Saturday, June 09, 2007. Is the nontheistic lobbyist for the Secular Coalition for America. In 2006, she delivered this speech. She strikes me as an effective, reasonable, and modest public speaker and made some good points. It’s a worthwhile speech to watch. Posted by D.R.M. : 12:08 PM. Comments: Post a Comment. Friday, August 31, 2007. I came across a blog post. That I just had to respond to. Let's file it under ridiculous claims about MMP. As I point out more succinctly on his blog, the evidence is crystal clear that MMP would be GOOD for the environment. S Patterns of Democracy. The respected political scientist and renowned expert in comparative government, looks into the question of the relationship between political systems and environmental policies. Blogging for democracy: NOW the Cons care about meeting international treaty obligations
http://markgreenan.blogspot.com/2008/06/i-just-had-to-pop-back-in-to-comment-on.html
Saturday, June 14, 2008. NOW the Cons care about meeting international treaty obligations. That the new law will bring Canada into compliance with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) treaty signed by the previous Liberal government over a decade ago. Can any remember another international treaty, signed by the Liberal government about a decade ago, that the Tories have had no compunctions about breaking or even really trying to meet its goals? Dispassionate Precisionist: April 2007
http://dispassion-precision.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Observations on whatever I desire to write about. Sunday, April 29, 2007. Far too often, social justice is referred to without definition. Without clarity, social justice is just a buzz word which can be attacked by the laissez faire right. Popper defines criminal justice in. Perfect equality of opportunity is far too often thought of as existing in the world’s laissez faire liberal democracies. This isn’t so. I don’t want anyone thinking I’m an absolutist on social justice. It does come in degrees, ...
