Homemaking Learned the Hard Way: June 2006
http://hishomemaker.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Homemaking Learned the Hard Way. The point of this blog is to share the things that I've learned about being a homemaker. Not that I'm an authority; just that one struggling along may have learned some things to share with others who struggle similarly. I homeschool and do some things in our church and would enjoy gardening and sewing and reading.as time would allow. Hope you gain from what I have to share! Offered with love, because I love Jesus, to you, from me. Monday, June 26, 2006. THE BEST ZUCCHINI...

I highly recommend this book- of course, I'm not all the way through with it, and it'll take me awhile- it's a big one! He lived in the 1800s, so his writing style may be different than you're used to seeing in a blog, but what he has to say is a very beneficial reminder to me, and hopefully to you too. Enjoy. Sunday, October 23, 2005. Well, I thought I wasn't a sleepwalker. Now I'm not too sure. Early this morning, I realized I had to get to church. I looked at my clock and thought "Ah! I need to get ready! She was greeted with the genius reply: "Ironing." And I was awakened from my foggy state by her next words: "At 3:30 in the morning? Posted by Kate Alesso @ 4:06 PM. Friday, December 17, 2004. Wow Everything is Christmas right now. Looking at my calendar, my to do list, and my family, I see that everything is absorbed in the Christmas season. I can't believe how complicated life can get in one month. There are so many things to do, and so many things to do for those previous things to do. It is absolutely crazy. You know what's funny, though? Just looking forward to next Christmas? Much I think that is the most awe-inspiring thing. No, wait. I. It will be exciting to...

Friday, November 25, 2005. Long Time, Just As Good. You know, that Thanksgiving Eve service is always so good. And the Turkey Bowl, too- this was my first Turkey Bowl! I love fall- it's my all-time favorite. Fall is really, truly, outstandingly beautiful. Maybe SNOW RETREAT 2006? Merry Christmas, by the way. I know it's early, but I've been waiting since about September, and it's officially almost here! Posted by Kate Alesso @ 4:20 PM. Lancaster, CA, United States. View my complete profile.

Monday, December 05, 2005. New Coat of Paint. I changed my blog from pink to blue for several reasons. 1) I don't really like pink. 2) I love blue. Maybe that should be #1. Hmmm. 3) The only reason I had a pink blog was that when I started this blog, I was the only female blogger in One28. So I figured, hey, it kind of fits. But now, it doesn't. 4) I like blue a lot. Did I already say that? 5) It was time for a change. Posted by Kate Alesso @ 2:44 PM. Lancaster, CA, United States. View my complete profile.

Those are just a few off the top of my head, and I know I could come up with others. But hopefully, you can get imaginative and make your summer count! And if you can think of some other creative ideas, please comment on this blog and maybe it will help us all! Posted by Kate Alesso @ 6:04 PM. Wednesday, June 08, 2005. When I was fo...

Sunday, February 20, 2005. When you're in a dressing room, you can try to consider what Jesus would do, but you can't quite tell whether He'd wear the outfit. That's where her example comes in. She has plenty of style, but she knows how to dress modestly at the same time. You can try to understand what the Bible would say about your friends, but when you're deciding who to hang out with, you can bet she'll provide a practical view of good choices.
