Miyuki's Oekaki: To Arthur
http://miyuki-oekaki.blogspot.com/2007/12/to-arthur.html
Monday, December 03, 2007. We went to visit his mom's house the other day, and the only words that stuck with me that she told us was "Enjoy your life.". I sometimes forget to appreciate my life. I tend to complain and ask for more. It reminded me how lucky I am to be here. We miss him very much, and I wish he wasn't gone yet. But I guess I have to accept the fact that he is not with us anymore in this world. I will miss him very much. This comment has been removed by the author. View my complete profile.

Miyuki's Oekaki: New journey
http://miyuki-oekaki.blogspot.com/2008/02/new-challenge.html
Saturday, February 09, 2008. One of the assignments that Mike gave students was to animate a character dancing in order to practice the delayed parts.( How every part of body is linked to move and it causes the delayed parts at the end of the link) Which I always tend to forget.so I thought it will be a great way to practice the delayed parts. And here is the first pass I did,. I still see many problems of changing volumes and so on, but Mike mentioned that he can see the energy coming from the character...

Miyuki's Oekaki: September 2008
http://miyuki-oekaki.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 23, 2008. So last month, Disney had classes with Michelle C. Bonilla, an actoress who has been on many TV series. In Meisner-based acting, they use our true feeling inside to act, therefore, I didn't act to be someone, I was still me, and I was trying to figure out what I am feeling in each moment. She tried to help us to say our true feeling in the moment. She also said, "Don't think with your head, just search your heart, what's going on in the moment? What is the motivation?

Miyuki's Oekaki: November 2008
http://miyuki-oekaki.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2008. I read an interesting article the other day about living a more creative life. There were some points that made me think. It said young kids tend to be wonderfully creative, but by about age 9, when formal education really kicks in, they start becomimg less playful and spontaneous. Also it said that when there is money or praise, people tend to limit themselves and search for one right answer instead of coming up with many possible solutions. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Miyuki's Oekaki: Charlie bit me!
http://miyuki-oekaki.blogspot.com/2008/02/charlie-bit-me.html
Saturday, February 09, 2008. Matt came home the other day, and he showed me this clip. So CUTE! That's so cute Miyuki, thanks for sharing (this would make a good animated dialogue test). And congrats on your apprenticeship at Disney, I knew your talents wouldn't go unnoticed! Haha, I think Matt showed this one to me. Good stuff. By the way, WOW! Jennifer, I am glad you liked this video. It makes me laugh every time when I see this video;) Thank you for believing in me all the time, finally my dream c...

Miyuki's Oekaki: September 2007
http://miyuki-oekaki.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 16, 2007. It has been more than a month since I updated? Even though I haven't updated, I am still learning a lot about animation everyday with a struggle:D. Then, I animated it. Then, the duck looked like a toy duck. It didn't move like an actual duck! I showed it to Mike, and he taught me some important things that changed my drawings a whole a lot. He told me to find "where is the movable part in their body? Also "how do their feet tuck into their body? 1 Research Research Research!

Miyuki's Oekaki: May 2007
http://miyuki-oekaki.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 09, 2007. Wow, I haven't post in a month. So all this was said, I am feeling better. And I am still not fully okay. I am still scared. But I realized it is okay to be scared. It is okay to curl up one day and not do anything. It's okay that I am not okay. And I felt much better. I am frustrated with timing right now. My timing tends to be so even, or my eyes just cannot see it! I felt like "well, my eyes cannot see it! So I might not even be able to an animator ever! And I tried every othe...
