Loquacious D: Swinging the Axe
http://dicampbell.blogspot.com/2007/10/swinging-axe.html
Observations, opinions, and musings of a 30-year-old somebody. Monday, October 15, 2007. So on October 22, Toronto city hall will vote on whether to cut services and implement new taxes in order to raise more money to pay down the city's $400 million debt. Two issues in particular are a $60 fee to register a car or motor vehicle . this is on top of the $74 people already pay to do this. I mean, if a journalist and an accountant councillor can find these, why can't the mayor? Posted by D.C.

http://dicampbell.blogspot.com/2007/10/random-question-of-week.html
Observations, opinions, and musings of a 30-year-old somebody. Sunday, October 21, 2007. Random Question of the Week. Apparently I've not been keeping up with my bloggerly duties of posting frequently so the few of you guys who visit here have something to read. Truthfully, I haven't really had anything particularly pithy to write about, which I guess defeats the purpose of writing frequently, to practice one's writing. But I feel like anything I write - just for writing's sake - will be lame. He didn't ...

Loquacious D: Plumpynut Saves?
http://dicampbell.blogspot.com/2007/10/plumpynut-saves.html
Observations, opinions, and musings of a 30-year-old somebody. Sunday, October 21, 2007. Earlier this evening, I caught a news piece Anderson Cooper did for 60 Minutes, on this pre-packaged food called Plumpynut. You can also see the video on the Web site). From what the TV piece suggests - while it obviously can't be given those past the point of no return - if given to malnourished kids, Plumpynut helps give them appetites, much-needed nutrients, and a fighting chance of sticking around a bit longer.

Loquacious D: June 2007
http://dicampbell.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Observations, opinions, and musings of a 30-year-old somebody. Sunday, June 24, 2007. Call it the axiom that never seems to fail. I should be out in the fantastic June weather on this gorgeous Sunday afternoon, atop the enormous deck of a friend in Kensington Market. Instead, I'm indoors, as I've been all weekend, trying to recover from some mysterious stomach bug - not the flu - that I've had since last week. It probably wasn't meant to be. But damn if it isn't downright poopy. Posted by D.C. I'm normal...

Loquacious D: April 2007
http://dicampbell.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Observations, opinions, and musings of a 30-year-old somebody. Saturday, April 28, 2007. Ah, The Weekend . I'm so glad the weekend's finally here! What an insane week! Aaaand it's almost the end of April. And - as if you didn't have any more incentive to enjoy this weekend - Sunday is International Dance Day. Again, I'm not lyin'. Go to Wikipedia, and if that doesn't convince you, then Google it. Seriously, if there isn't a strong case to create a National Piggyback Day, then I don't KNOW what it'll take.

But I now officially LOVE clothing swaps. Last night, I went to a friend's house for one of her clothing swap extravanganzas. I've been before, but each time I go, they just get better and bigger. Allow me to give you the reasons why you should either go to one, or organize one:. Plus, you'd be surprised what some people b...

Loquacious D: The Generation Gap, In An Elevator
http://dicampbell.blogspot.com/2007/10/generation-gap-in-elevator.html
Observations, opinions, and musings of a 30-year-old somebody. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. The Generation Gap, In An Elevator. I just went downstairs to get some breakfast before I start my day (yes, it's almost 11:30 am, but that's neither here nor there) and I think I just witnessed sociology at its finest. One of the women (who I know) said, "This elevator is going down," which sprung the foursome into action. I watched them while the elevator took its short voyage down to the ground level. I gue...
