Rock ‘n’ Roll. I’ve been a little MIA this week. I think that the stress from everything other than running is affecting my running. Which is horrible because running is supposed to be my escape. Bah. Since my long run, I completed two more runs this week, a 6 and a 4. Both went relatively well. Anyone care to explain what exactly tempo runs are and what you do? Today’s run was 5 miles as promised. I was delighted that the new trail route I tried ended up being near the exact amount I’d estimated. I was less than happy to hear my first mile in my earbuds. Barely less than 8 minutes. I’m not immune to bad running days. They happen to everyone. But training for a marathon means I have to utilize all my time in a, well, timely manner. I’m trying to qualify for Boston 2015 and am very determined to do so. Anyone else have pacing issues? How do you deal with them?
