Monday, July 28, 2008. Grandma often takes Malik out to the mall for some one-on-one bonding. They both cherish that time.Malik because he always gets a Happy Meal, time to play at the play area and he often makes it out of K-B Toys with a new toy. As for their mall routine - Malik also has a routine of his own. He often wears his "cool kid" outfit (as he refers to it). We wonder if any mall employees have noticed? Friday, October 16, 2009. Vegas - June 2009. A group of friends from my (Gladys) graduating class tossed around the idea of meeting up in Las Vegas for a mini reunion. Malik and I are always up for hitting up Vegas! We invited our cousin, Dora, along and of course she was willing and able to join us. Friday, August 21, 2009. Cinco de Mayo - 2009. I have never gone out to celebrate Cinco de Mayo - I knew it was very likely that our cousin, Dora, was going to be stepping out and if not we could convince her to join us :) . we were right! Dora introduced us to her friends - The Machaca Sisters (lol) and Victor. And her partner in crime, Megan! Malik and his crew met up with us . we got side tracked for a bit :). Thursday, September 24, 2009. We took a trip to Albuquerque, NM to visit our friends, for some fun in the mountains, and to kick off our summer break. We started our trip by a visit to the Temple. Isaac found his best friend! Emma loves her cats. This to her is cat paradise. There were so many cats for her to pet. The kids were facinated with Chancho the pig. Monday, September 7, 2009. Friday, July 24, 2009. As we do for every Easter we went to Church and then met my side of the family at my brother and sister-in-law's home. Easter is my sister-in-law, Sarah's, favorite holiday. Each year she buys all the kids their own Chocolate Easter Bunny from See's Candy - then Pop Pop (my father-in-law) and I ENJOY it :) shhhh. This is the second Easter without my sister Marga and her family :(. Little Malik was not feeling well . so we had to cut our visit short. Wednesday, July 15, 2009.

Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Last Sat we had the District Pinewood Derby. After a long but fun morning, the results were in. Jacob took second place in the Bears division! He was so excited to be able to have this experience. We all had fun making the cars and racing them first at our ward derby and then supporting Jacob at the District Derby. We can't wait for next year! Monday, March 16, 2009. Ok, for the end of Feb we were very busy! Of course Isaac's Batmobile! But here is a pic of his car The Snake.
