Sunday, December 27, 2009. This was a great Christmas because all my kids were able to be here. The grandkids all were excited to open their gifts. The adults agreed for the most part to have any monies that would have been used to buy them gifts to be donated to charity. It made for less wrapping paper to throw away and a sense of pride. Just one of the things that she has done that made no sense. What made the project was that I used a picture of all the kids wearing their baseball hats we got them som...

Worth Reading: Leslie's TransFORMation

http://www.blogworthreading.blogspot.com/2009/02/leslies-transformation.html

Saturday, February 21, 2009. I just thought I should post something here since it has been a long time since the last one. I thought maybe there would be something come along that would top the Eagles concert we were able to attend back in September but not yet. One more thing I can cross off my bucket list. She really enjoys hearing from family and friends who know about her efforts here and we both appreciate any encouragement given. I know I can do more and I will. February 24, 2009 at 2:46 PM.

Friday, June 26, 2009. Well, we here in the midwest are probably not going through anything that the rest of the country is experiencing to a lesser or greater degree in that money is tight. In my 35 years at Caterpillar, I have been laid off twice both for more than a year. There has been some indefinite layoffs but Cat is at or below their "skeleton" crew so to speak and have a provision in the contract to have what is called rolling layoffs. Worth Reading: 2008 Eagle concert

http://www.blogworthreading.blogspot.com/2008/11/2008-eagle-concert.html

Tuesday, November 11, 2008. On September 25th, 2008, I was able to cross another thing off my bucket list. For the longest time, I have wanted to see the Eagles in concert but never had the money or time to do it. It worked out that they came to the United Center in Chicago and my daughter, Jenny and boyfriend Jim were able to get us tickets two rows off the stage on the floor! How awesome is that? I always knew you were just a teenager in disguise! November 13, 2008 at 3:54 PM. View my complete profile.

The Tadd Family: Tax Season

http://newmommy6710.blogspot.com/2010/02/tax-season.html

Thursday, February 4, 2010. The best part of the beginning. Of the year is doing our taxes. Well, not DOING the taxes part. That part is actually really stressful. I don't understand what they are trying to explain half the time, so I resort to calling my dad 4 times a night until they are filed. This past year was even more confusing. As most of you know, I won 2 seats to every Jazz game for the whole season. Very cool. We really enjoy going. A few weeks later, Trav. Seats, his cousin ( whose. We got ou...

Saturday, August 2, 2008. Waiting for the UPS guy! Any moment today the UPS guy will deliver this book to my front door. Yep, no waiting in long, long lines at midnight for me! I ordered it from Walmart.com way back in May and it was shipped on Thursday. So, if you were one of those crazy all night vampire lovers up all night waiting to buy your book and then up even later reading your book, please don't tell me anything! It will only take me one solid day, but who has one of those anymore! I figure that...

Monday, November 17, 2008. This year we did trunk or treating at our ward building. If you look close you will notice that it's wet outside, but you will also notice that it is NOT raining! The boys wanted to be "scary" this year. They also wanted Nathan to be scary as well. Thankfully we can be adorable scary for at least one more year! This is Nathan at his favorite car.they had a whole bowl of those yummy candies. (I think he took 4! Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Too Much for Words.

http://newmommy6710.blogspot.com/2010/02/last-week-was-suppose-to-be-my-busy.html

Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Last week was suppose to be my busy week. This week was suppose to be my NOT busy week. And obviously it's too late to reschedule. just another thing to add to my list. Tuesday morning, I wake up early, get a lot done, and even clean my house before my client comes over! The next morning, after delivering the High School Musical cake, I only had a few hours to get the next cake done. And surprise surprise, Riley wakes up with a full blown fever! 30 minutes later, HE IS AWAKE!

Monday, September 8, 2008. First Day of School. Ryan (3rd grade) and Parker (1st grade) started back to school last week and are just loving it! I have to admit that I don't miss the preschool/kindergarten 1/2 day carpool juggle one little bit! It was an easy transition for me to start school this year because I am so confident that they both have incredible and amazing teachers! We are looking forward to a fun, educational, and growth filled year! Why does that always happen to me? Adoption is a miracle.

Thursday, July 24, 2008. Parker was awesome at coach pitch baseball this year. He really had some incredible hits and a contagious enthusiasm for the game. I loved how he would hit the ball and run to first base then raise both hands above his head pointing to the sky and jump up and down yelling, "I did it! We think we will spend many, many more nights watching you play ball in the future! Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Ryan had so much fun playing baseball this year. He is now do...

The Tadd Family: Easter 2010

http://newmommy6710.blogspot.com/2010/04/easter-2010.html

Friday, April 9, 2010. Easter was a bit stressful this year. Of course I wait until the last minute to buy all the things I need for Rileys basket. But I think I found some pretty fun stuff for him. Dinosaur eggs, mini basketball hoop (to leave at Grammys), bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and CANDY! Look at that cute basket. I bought that for a pretty penny a LONG time ago as soon as the Easter stuff came out. I couldn't pass it up when I saw it. He was definetly enjoying himself. Happy Easter to all! Oh, Riley...

Thursday, August 13, 2009. So I am officially embarrassed I haven't blogged since May! But things have been pretty crazy around here. I guess in June I don't really have an excuse because we didn't really have much going on. maybe that's why I didn't blog. Oh well. I'm repenting right now! Since I have SO much to share, I will have LOTS of blogs coming, starting today (thanks Erika for the push on FB. Since 99% of my life is Riley, I'll start by updating his stats! Blogging Bookworms

A blog dedicated to the enjoyment of a good book. There is nothing like a good book. It makes the world feel like a better place. Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Other Stories and Other Stories by Ali Smith. Crossposted at Diary of a Goldfish. Occassionally, I get anonymous packages in the post. You may remember Albert. Actually, these stories were more about love. I don't generally like short stories, particularly ones that clever people describe as postmodern. Which made me titter). The fact that Ali Smith di...

Tuesday, February 10, 2015. The IOM Report proposes new name: Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease. I know I haven't blogged in over a year, but I had to write something when I saw this headline on a New York Times article:. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Gets A New Name. And the proposed new name is. Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease (or SEID). I was actually so happy I cried. I know it's not the best name ever, but anything is better than CFS. Of course this is just a proposed.
